As planned, neocodex will be switching its hosting service to another provider. Our current provider has chosen to cancel its service to all shared hosting accounts at the end of this year. In order to make sure that there is no data loss while transfering from one host to another, the administration has chosen to close down the boards for about 48 hours while the DNS servers propagate to the new host and we can transfer all information and data from the current host to the new one.
We will begin this process in about 15 hours. To be exact ... at about 10:30 AM GMT -8 (PST or NST) the neocodex board will be turned offline.
We are sorry for any inconvenience and hope to get the board online once again very soon.

...we do this just to make sure we dont lose any data during the switching of the hosts.

I'll just idle on some other forum and hope your new host doesn't decide to act up on you guys, heh. Someti'mes... you get a lot of trouble while migrating, not the mention possible problems after the migrations

oh wow, 2 days is quite a while - if the site is up sooner, and all you're waiting for is DNS propagation then maybe you could put a static HTML page with an IP address link on this server - this will allow people to connect directly to the server without having the URL
