;) Ive been searching for a site where I can download Visual Basic to make and learn progs, but I havent been able to find one. can someone please give me a direct link to download it? (if you can for free) also would u suggest buying a book?

EDIT: I was at that site I couldnt find anything.  what I really wanted was a dirct link to the download

Hmm, I can remember being on the site where I got mine, which is on my dads computer. ugh.... just hold on a second, I'll keep looking.

If you want the Pro version....obviously better, it says PRO!.........contact me on MSN, I know some places you can "purchase" it.

bringing an old post back to life but could sum1 check this site out and see if its real? lol VB Studio.NET 2003 pro edition only 18 small dollars(my brain is saying bull) but I dont no I read the description but I'm not sure ;)

Uhm, what site are you referring to? Microsoft was giving out a free copy of Visual Basic .NET 2003 for a while for whatching a few tutorials and writing reviews on them. I got a copy myself which came about a week ago. Unfortunately, supplies have ran out, and the promotion is no longer taking place  :lol: .

I'd be able to give you the educational version for free,It doesnt allow you to compile but I have a *fix* for that..

EDIT: o and for my other post right above this the site is shopping.com and then I searched for it. I dont think its teh real thing because it says media only and that is prolly just a cd showing how to use it or whatever if u wanna check it out its http://www.shopping....rosoft_20740243
but thats not the exact one I was at but they are close. they both are cheap and say package type media only
