Today I got the mass PM about the new rule... this has pissed me off A LOT!!!

grrrr... what is that supposed to be? I CENSORED hate the idea of li'miting THE freedom of speech, and didn't see anything wrong in the stuff ppl posted in 'jokes&fun stuff' area... We are turning into si'milar s*** as digi/npets, they both ban (freeze in the 2nd case) their users after saying anything that they don't like (and that can be anything), AND both restrict the freedom of speech...

Lets keep codex appropriate for everyone.

Don't be joking... same as above (li'miting the freedom of speech)... And if it turns into a kiddy site, the other (older) users won't like it then... :lac:


And whatever u say, it's still li'miting the freedom of speech :ranting:


EDIT: (offtopic) I also hate the hack that converts the first letter of every word in the topic title to uppercase and others to lowercase!!!

I agree, but not quite as strongly as Dr.Sloth over here <suspiciously looks over his shoulder> and I dont think its realistic to think that there will be 5 year olds reading the posts in this forum, as stated in the pm, (it said something like "just post anything that you wouldnt mind a 5 year old reading)

you still have the freedom of speech though, only 18+ contents are not allowed because there are innocents here at Ncodex (like me  , I'm 13)

Ok, what is with you people? You guys are practically forming the board around what Digibliss DOESN'T do. If they do it, you automatically asume its bad. You're trying to say that we're turning into tyrants well obviously thats just as bad as the Frizzle situation, where he didn't get banned until now because of our lack of whateverthecrap. Neopets is a family site, with no vulgarity on their boards, why are they so successful?

If you guys really want this rule removed, we can work around that. I only support this rule when it reaches the 18+ level, because comeon. If a thread said PORN! NO KIDS ALLOWED!! would you really give a rats ass to not go see whats inside?

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here and right now my 10 year old is sittin here with me and thank God she wasn't earlier. I dont remember what sight it was but I think it was about ebay, where they had a pitcure of some sexual toys. Dang Dudes, shes 10 and so are alot of others that like to visit with us. I don't mind the bad language at all, heck we hear that every day, but pitcures of unaproppriate things kids dont need to learn about too early is NOT cool!

I dont agree... If I was young and told not to look at a page unless I'm 18, I'm sorry to say I would wan't to look at that page even that much more. And a picture of 3 big Dildos is something I think shouldn't be on here. How do you explain what thoes are to a Kid of any age? I wouldnt want my daughter asking me what a dildo is, after seeing one. Totally inappropriate.

This is quite a teen guy dominated place though, so obviously there is going to be an underlying thing of porn seeing as most guys think with their uh.... bananas. (see, I'm complying with the rule!!)

However, I think that this rule may be enforced a little too strongly. It wasn't really appropriate to post pics of dildos or whatever, but now most of the stuff in the jokes section is gonna go against the rules; and a lot of those sites were damn funny.. just maybe a little bit I'mmature.
I think the 'showing to a 5 year old' is pushing it way too far though.. I mean, take the prawnography site I posted in the jokes section a while ago- it wasn't overly offensive (unless you are a prawn), but would you show it to a 5 year old? No.
