if you have a really rough sponge, you can scratch up the back side more to make it look like brushed steel. I found my current ipod abandoned in the road and the back was pretty scratched, so I did the above and now it looks pretty nice. too bad the front is also scratched...

I wish I was that lucky, I wouldnt care how scratched it was.

I have a video iPod...yeah its scratched. Get a case or a skin...

They are meant to get scratched so you have to go buy a skin -_-

yeah, there's a lube that can clean it up. I bought an ipod nano and it came scratched, sucked but I liked it, but after a while I returned it since it scratched way too easily, good luck to you man.
