runtime error 40006 means that the program is having a problem trying to connect to the internet - have you allowed the program access to the internet

Places to look are your firewall and if you have one your router

Okay I've done everything--downloading the ActiveX control, downloading and installing the program Neocodex Checks V3 itself, restarting my computer--but it still says

"Codexcheck module version: 3.1.3.0
DLL Set-up error -RunCodexCheck- 0 - Please Check you have the Required files"

I just updated my computer from '98 to Windows 2000, which is why I had to redownload codexchecks and whatnot...does that affect anything?

I'm having the same problem, except I haven't upgraded, and installing the library.exe doesn't work for me. :/

Anyone suggestions?

Please follow the instructions in the download topic - and if they aren't enough then read my FAQ (in my sig)

failing that, read all the posts here and the answers I have given

redid the unicode conversion routine - should work now :D

Hey Mumei, if I make some programs in PHP, e.g Auto Pricer etc. Firstly, would I be able to add them to download system, and secondly, if I could what abuot checks?

PHP is more appropriate in the source code sections (unless you're packaging them up in Zend or whatever it's called)

currently the check is not designed for PHP

Ok, I just wanted to add them to download system because people would get more use out of it :p But source code section is still good ^_^

totally up to you - and you're more than welcome to put them in the download section - I just thought they would have had a better audience in the code section

What I mean was, if I did put them in the download section? Could I post the link to the scripts so people could run them? That way people couldnt see my source? And if I did, could I make a mini codex checker that just checks if they are a member.

XTh cannon - I have zend Proffesional, if you send me your source over, I can encrypt it for you so you can release the source publically and no one can see your source without cracking the 3key encryption.

oh I see - Having a user written codex check is not allowed as that essentially gives the programmer access to the Codex usernames and passwords - normally when it comes to people's programs we can check the code to make sure that they're not sending the neopets details to a 3rd party server, e-mail addy or such - however with PHP Scripts there's no way we can verify them at all - and there's no way we can tell that you've not changed them if we do verify the source

This is a tricky one - can you post this into the full programmers section and we'll all talk it thru there - it's not really suitable for this thread

if any program is reporting that it's not available then it's probably not available - there is a test program released by me - check that one, if that works then it's the individual programs - post in those topics for a response

The AB is currently down for repairs (visit here: http://www.neocodex....howtopic=44817)

Notice it says 'disabled'. :p I think he's planning to fix up the project at the end of the month though. :p
