How long can you hold your breath? I can only hold my breath for 56 seconds. My dad can do 70 seconds and my friend can do 91 seconds.

:blink: More then me....I took swimming lessons and I could only hold my breath under water for like 36 seconds...Then I must have air.
-But I never tried obove water....

It is harder when you move, because you are using up energy, making you need more air.

I have some small lungs, it doesnt really help when your trying to hold your breath.

One time on Fear Factor or whatever the name was, some guy held his breath for 2 minutes and 33 seconds.

Dude, I'm as fit as hell and underwater time is 37 but I get it reduced because im asthmatic (sp)

God that's sad. I used to be able to do over 3 minutes.

Err like over 1 minute by a lil last time I checked but that was when I enjoyed sports and didn't sit at the computer like all my day so now I expect 1 minute max right now.

Shouldn't you be able to breathe for less underwater as there is more pressure on your lungs?

Used to be able to do 2.30ish. Now I can only do 2 min. Suckage.

The only reason I could ever do that much was because of swimming. Major lung capacity.

I did 1:42:627 just now, but I can do over, im made to do that for lung capacity at swimming training.

When I was younger, I was a swimmer, and I played the trumpet, so I used to be able to hold it for over 2 minutes, but swimming ended when puberty began, and trumpet ended when university began, and now I'm too lazy altogether to time my breath-holding. lol

Around a minute and a half. There are actually people that can hold their breath for well over 5 minutes
