Lately, we have been hearing many rumors of a "deal" between Sockopen and NeoCodex administrator HydroGen. We were previously unaware of the accuracy of these rumors, but have now come into possession of a verifiable record of this agreement. Upon receiving this record, we have decided to release both it, and our comments concerning it immediately.

We will first give you a summary of the conversation, and our comments. In addition, we will give you an actual copy of the conversation.

Now, to summarize, NeoCodex administrator HydroGen contacted Sockopen, and requested of him that he transfer as many members of 3volutionize to the NeoCodex membership. In doing so, HydroGen offered Sockopen a high ranking in the NeoCodex hierarchy. HydroGen did not give any specifics as to how to accomplish this, and he did not know that Sockopen would attempt to destroy the 3volutionize site.

Now, this was never brought before any other members of NeoCodex staff, and we assure you that, had this been brought before us, we would have rejected it. We do not condone the actions of either HydroGen, or of Sockopen, in his attacks on 3volutionize. Nor do we condone any favouritism of members, for any reason whatsoever. We feel that this did not represent the opinion of NeoCodex at the time, and neither does it now. We do however, realize that this did in fact originate with a member of the NeoCodex administration, and though no one else had this information, we do apologize for the consequences of what has happened as a result of this. We're sorry.

We had no information concerning what had been promised Sockopen, nor to what he was planning, though if we had received any, our response would be the same. We do not condone this, and we deeply regret that we were not able to stop this before Sockopen acted against 3volutionize.

We would also like you to know, that because of his schooling, we have had very little contact with HydroGen concerning this matter. To the best of our knowledge, he did not plan for anything such as this to happen, and we will ask him to give you his perspective on these events in the near future. In addition, Supermoderator Dallas will speak as to his knowledge of these events.

Furthermore, at this time, Sockopen had only ever been given a Jr. Programmer rank, which, in fact, was a decision that HydroGen was not part of. Also, Sockopen has effectively resigned from any NeoCodex programming positions, and has asked not to be placed in them again.

Again, we apologize for the results of this, and we assure you that in the future, there will be deep investigation of anything brought to our attention. In such, we ask you to keep an open eye and ear, and report to us anything you may find, so that we can act immediately.
