Old news, I know.. but we had to listen to this in Physics today, so I thought I'd post it!

Katie Melua's song "9 million bicycles in Beijing" has a verse in it that goes:

'We are 12 billion light-years from
the edge,
That's a guess,
No one can ever say it's true,
But I know that I will always be
with you.'

Nice but nerdy physicist Simon Singh took issue with this, and rewrote a more scientifically accurate version for her. Listen Here

the edge of the observable universe,
That's a good estimate with
well-defined error bars,
Scientists say it's true, but
acknowledge that it may be refined,
And with the available information, I predict that I will always be

Teehee. Isn't really the same, is it? Would you prefer your music to be true, or to just sound nice? Discuss!
