Description:
Well. This took a heck of a long time to make because of all of the extra features. -____-'. Well anyway, this program feeds kads from the Kadoaterie for you. NOTE: This program does fail. But do you want to know the truth? So does every other kad feeder program - but most just don't say they do, only displaying successful feeds to make them look better. Well my program is 100% honest with you; it will tell you the amount of times it fails and succeeds, and it'll keep this amount even after you close and open it (as well as the amount of np you spend on kad items).

Another difference from my feeder is that it tells you how long it takes to login, search for items, feed kads, etc. so you can keep track of how fast/slow your internet connection, your computer, or the program is going. A unique feature in this program is that there is an option to skip a feeding if the program/your computer/your internet connection is going to slow, thus preventing you from wasting np (this is my favorite feature  ). Here's a little table I made to tell you what speeds are good:

Less than 0.5 seconds = Ideal. You have a very high chance of successfully feeding a kad
0.5-1.0 seconds = You've got a high chance of success
1.0-1.5 seconds = You've got a medium-low chance of success
More than 1.5 seconds = GOOD LUCK. When my internet gets this slow, I seldom get a kad fed.

Another big feature in this program is the logging. It logs almost everything you would ever want to know: all of the kads (whether they're hungry or not) and the items they want; all of the times when a hungry kad is placed into the kadoaterie; unbuyable items, expensive items (items that exceed the max price value that you input), and buyable items as well as their prices. All of this information is saved in various text files for you to easily edit/view (except for kad names, because that is completely pointless).

This program also has several other extra features such as the option to alert you when hungry kads are placed into the kadoaterie to allow you to check the page yourself (for whatever reasons you want), the amount of times to look in the wiz for cheaper-priced kad items (though the lower it is, the faster the feed), the amount of time to wait between each check, and a max price for kad items.

I highly doubt anyone just read all of that. Oh well. They can figure that stuff out on their own.

Known Bugs:
  • You will get an "ERROR: File or command not found" message after pressing the "Start" button if you do not extract gzip.exe into the same directory as the kad feeder program. FIX: Extract gzipexe into the same directory as the program.
  • Program not buying - FIXED (see below)
  • Program occasionally freezes - This is due to the np server "timing out" (it takes too long to respond, so you get a blank page). This is synonymous to browsing the np site via a web browser and sometimes retrieving a completely white page. There is no fix for it yet, a temporary solution would be to just check back and restart it if necessary :(
  • Program just doesn't work - If you are a premium member, be sure to have your toolbar set to "Neopets" and not "Portal" (don't use the toolbar with the Portal integrated into it; use the plain old regular toolbar). When not using the program, feel free to change the toolbar back to the "Portal".

Changes:
3/30/08
  • Fixed not buying. The reason it wouldn't buy was because some parts of the URL had changed from single quotation marks (') to double quotation marks (") sometime over the past two years >.>

3/26/08
  • Updated wrapper settings to give the most updated headers
  • Updated to work with the new shop wiz update
3/5/06
  • Log is now show/hide enabled
  • Login faster by at least half a sec
  • Overall feeding is faster (every little bit is crucial, no?)
  • Changed the unfed kad list to make it look better ;)
  • Fixed the and from showing in the kad named e=mc2

I think you've done such a good job on this kad feeder program

I don't even know you but.. but.. i'm so proud of you!!!!
There.. said it :whistling:

Great work :D
----
There is no post underneath mine so I will have to update this and hope that someone will see this xD
But I have a little problem with the program and maybe it's my computer.. I don't know.
When I now start the program it does it's thing but after like 5-10 minutes it doesn't refresh itself anymore wich makes me miss feeding kads. It practicly stops feeding. I do have enough nps out to buy things and for the rest I have the settings as in the example..

What is wrong? O_o

I think the problem has to do with the program timing out... I'm trying to fix that as soon as I can. However, it should still work...

Amazing program.. Getting close to the halfway point for that avatar. :)

SUGGESTIONS:
1) Option to minimize to tray. This would be an amazing addition.
2) A new notification method*. Perhaps having it close within a few seconds, and updating it so that it's not a large, awkward text box? :p Perhaps just have it be an image saying "Fed a kad!" and having it borderless, going away after 5 or so seconds?

Just like to say this program is VERY nice and I can tell you put a lot of time into it. I'm sure your making lots of people happy with this! As me for sure. It's so far fed one kadoatie for me. Thanks for this. :D

Edit: Things are good except it runs at 100% processing power when I run the program. ;)

Wow, I totally forgot to take away that text box. Lol. That was for debugging, this was the image that was supposed to come up:

But hey I like your image... if you make it bigger I'll go ahead and implement yours :). Oh yes and minimize to tray has been added... I'll wait until I get a response from you about the kad alert image before I put up the new version though

Redownload them: http://www.neocodex....oad&download=47

The installation will overwrite previous versions and re-register the files (or at least it should). :p

Okay, here I am again xD

When I want to start up the newest version of your kad feeding program it gives me a runtime 7 'Out of memory' that isn't my computer right? Because I have lots of memory xD

Oh and another thingy, I don't know how that will go with this new update of the kad feeding program but with the older one I had problems with login into other accounts. I started with one account but after that I wanted to login into another account but it refused because of... cookies or something xD I uploaded the image so yall can see yourself:

http://img.photobuck...ookiethingy.gif

There.. I'll be waiting for a reply

Strange. When I try to open it, it shows the banner with the text "ArrSquared Productions" and that's it. The banner dissapears again and nothing else happens. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? :help:

Something must be wrong with the wrapper he's using.

Nah, not wrapper, put the load and show in the wrong places x.x hehe. It worked before I compiled, but not after... oops >.<. Scrapped the splash, it was a suggestion by one of my users but I've decided that it was just annoying :p lol. I'll reupload the fixed version.

As for darkmaster... well to make it work properly, make sure you have np out and space in your inventory, otherwise you won't be able to buy any items. Set the max price to the maximum amount of np you wish to spend on each item so you won't waste your money buying items at 99,999np when you could simply be buying items at 5k or less.
