Get some information before you post ignorant crap like that. Homosexuals did NOT cause "deadly/super annoying diseases." It just as easily spreads through drug use and HETEROSEXUAL sexual activity. Well, I think he means it's one of the causes of the disease and that disallowing it would help control it (myself, I do not have an opinion on this, I'm just reiterating what I thought he meant).

I suppose Noitidart isn't completely ignorant as he has a bit of basis to his claim. Worldwide though, heterosexual relations do result in more cases of spread than homosexual relations according to statistics I found.

In all fairness, saying that gays cause disease isn't exactly "keeping it in control" either. We do have homosexual members of this board and saying they are the prime catalyst for AIDS probably doesn't exactly make them feel too great.

Saying homosexuals are the blame IS very insulting so personally if I said something equally as bad I would expect to be lashed out upon as well. And how do they promote it? Homosexuals use CONDOMS now. Just as often as heterosexuals do. Currently though homosexuals are the most protected from AIDS since they use condoms as birth control more. Women do not worry about getting pregnant since they have the Pill and then do not use a condom. So what is promoting AIDS? NOT homosexuals, it's ignorance. People who do not protect themselves properly are promoting AIDS. Assaulting the homosexual community is unfair since while they were getting AIDS first they did not know how to protect themselves, no one did. AIDS is spread through blood contact and does not have anything to do with their sexual preference. To say otherwise I will say again Noit is INSULTING to people who are homosexual and I am surprised they have not lashed out on you in this topic themselves. And again, they do nothing to promote it, they are more safe then heterosexuals currently.

And Noit it is NOT one of the main ways. I question if YOU ever took a health class or at least paid attention. Or if you did you had a very misinformed teacher. HIV is spread through blood donations (not anymore, thankfully), sexual activity (OF ANY KIND), and drug use. Could also be transmitted in other ways with handling blood or any sort of transfer of blood. But for the record, yes. I have taken health and anatomy classes and college level biology and have done projects on the subject. And major places it occurs? Not as strong in the homosexuality community again. So you probably had some extremely outdated information. Homosexuals acted to protect themselves seriously and honestly they do not deserve that false perception that you have of them. Oh and for the record, I read every word. But your main point seemed to be homosexuals causing AIDS, the other seemed to be a little side note.

AIDS is complicated. It can be pinpointed in Africa around the late 50's, probably when hunters got the disease from monkeys from the blood. It probably wasn't sexual intercourse between a man and an animal as much as it was that. I would think that because in Africa, it's less civilized, sexual contact was much more open.

Bisexuality and omnisexuality did contribute to the spread of AIDS, though most of the cases were from blood products and transplants. For instance, Ryan White was known at his time for being a heterosexual male (despite liking Elton John) young boy who got AIDS from complications of a treatment for his hemophilia.

But it's pretty hard to deny that there are cases of sexually transmitted diseases furthered because of homosexuality. But it isn't intentional at all, so it can't be credited as a problem. I think personally it isn't natural (it's kinda basic), but that it isn't my problem if 2% of the world likes the same sex. I'm not against it being illegal, because there isn't proof of it being a large cause of problems. Most of these "problems" caused are just emphasized more because of the fact it's a taboo subject.

My belief is that "all men are created equal", so why can't homosexual people get married?

And about AIDS, it would eventually have spread with or with out homosexuality and anal sex, but none of us can even predict at what rate it would have spread at.

If the 5% of the population being gay study is true, then I really don't think it's the government's right to restrict anything they don't restrict to other people.

Let's say Homosexuals are a minority, right? Then how can other minorities get married and have rights that come along with that?

It just isn't fair the way it is now.
