Kidnap or Capture...

What are your thoughts on this? Why was the word kidnapped used in todays headlines rather then capture. Do you think it makes a difference. How come this made headlines?
My thoughts:
It's interesting that some people today are suprised that side A supports the attempt to secure the release of their soliders via this method which was used in the past by many. What's more amazing is there is such an uproar (front page headline news in the US) when force A captures 2, but while force B has been capturing soldiers and kidnapping civilians over the years nothing is said... It's truly amazing how the biggest criminals of today make their victims look like the bad guy and get a whole bunch of people to believe them.

The fact that the Lebanese soldiers actually crossed the border in order to kidnap soldiers is what gives Israel the right to retaliate with as much force as they deem fit in order to get the safe return of their soldiers. However, in this action i think that only military sources should be targetted rather than cutting off the whole country by destroying the airport and main highway.
If Lebanon hadn't started this whole thing, it would never have happened, all they need to do is return the prisoners...

Hmm i dun think that logic makes sense. As they are in conflict and during conflict don't each other constantly go on the other side? As has been happening.
You seem to know how Lebannon captured Israeli soldiers do you know how Israel captured it's soldiers and kidnapped its civilians?
Technically, Israel and Lebanon werent at war before those 2 soldiers were captured, and the Lebanese prisoners which Israel have are presumably from the Arab-Israeli war which ended in 2000.
I haven't heard about Israel crossing the border into Lebanon and capturing citizens/soldiers since the end of the Arab-Israeli war, although i may be wrong. Obviously if they had crossed the border to capture citizens then that would count as an Act of War...

Lebannon as a country? I don't think you know exactly whats goin on. Thus what I am asking.
Like you said, you haven't heard about some aspects. So I'm asking how come when one side does something the other has been doing all along it is suddenly the hot news of the week?
Stupid tainted coverage. Half the time when you guys are debating about this stuff I have basically no clue what happened, can you guys post a couple sources?
It's weird man there's not just one source you can get all this info from. It sort of builds over time then you know whats goin on.

Well not as a country, but Lebanon was like a battlefield for the Arab-Israeli war so i presume some Lebanese were captured anyway.

As i said, i havent heard about Israel taking prisoners out of war, so if you can find some sources i'd be happy to read them

That's not right, if canada and mexio were at war and the us got used as a battlefield would it be ok to capture americans?
Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, not a country. They have no rights to take prisoners of war.
It's easy for you to call theese people terroists and take away they're rights but when the other side does worse ie: demolish homes with people in them... They are right? IE: when a force fighting israel captures there soldiers israel has the right to bomb the country that group is from?
Why do you call them terrorists? Because Israel said they are? Did they give you a why? They stated something their enemy did not saying why their enemy did that and you call them terrorists? That's like saying the US is attacking Germany. Skipping the fact that Germany was killing a whole bunch of people and jumping to calling the US terrorists. Now that's weird isn't it? That's what a whole bunch of people are doing today. Like I stated in the topic post that is just amazing how one sided people can be.

Lebanon still fought in the war...it wasnt like they all just hid away while the war continued on their land.

So then they are in conflict, so it is not right the word kidnap is used. And people in the US are becoming very one sided because of this. I think what is going on in the spread of information right now is wrong don't you?

Also regarding America, with their close bond with Israel it is fairly clear that they are going to side with them, America has probably funded most of the weapons which are being used to destroy Lebanon as we speak...

And yeah thats bascially the important thing, don't listen to the US Media as it is very very biased all for Israel. The reason is as Casilla told me that the Media won't do anything different because it won't sell. So everyone just know that the Media here is horrrribly one sided and that you shouldn't side with Israel because of what the Media is saying. I have seen people like that and it is horrible. The media in trying to make money is killing sooo many people and fueling a country into bombing the people and getting more of those people involved and kill them. Why? Who knows, seems like with all there incitement and escalation that they hate theese people and just because they do doesn't mean people that follow the US media should. Don't think the US is supporting Israel cause they are right, they are only supporting Israel because if they dont they look bad and the public won't support them because the public is so taken over by the media. Take media very lightly plz!!!
