    Firstly, welcome to the board. You are automatically upgraded to an advanced member at 500 (is that it?) posts. This simply means you are able to be recognized for being active and loyal to the website.

    Private membership is a little bit more difficult to obtain. Every two months, you are eligible to apply for private membership via submitting an application in to the Private Application Board. Existing private members will vote on whether or not you will get in on a number of guidelines. Some of these guidelines include activity, contributions, loyalty, how you act around the board etc. The benefits or perks of being a private member allow you to access the private programs, able to post in private forums and having a new member tag.

    Advanced = 500 posts
    Private = Every two months apps open and a few members are given the status.

    Welcome to the forum, btw
    And read the rules and stickied doodahs happy.gif

    Oh, and advanced is not just 500 posts. You have to be one month old as well.

    Welcome to the boards!

    Actually, Adobe, it IS automatic. It's at a certain hour everday that those who have achieved the requirements are upranked automatically.

    Otherwise I was upgrade about 3-4 days after the 500 posts.. when I already reached 600+ posts..
