The school web blocks both of those websites.

I just use a good defilter.

The one that I use. Just remember to remove all traces of your activity.

Hmm. Doesnt seem to work now. No matter. There are still plenty of defilters in google.

There is nothing wrong with contributing to an old thread as long as what the person says isn't spam and actually adds something to the thread...this is especially true considering that they are posting comments on a tutorial.

There is NO RULE against 'gravedigging'.

proxies never work for me, i suggest you dont use them. But at school, I saw that the firewall was disabled and something was out of date. Possibly a bypass of school filtering in the making?

If you use a website translator like http://www.worldling...translator.html it should work as a proxy bypass

I am using unblockfacebookproxy.com right now at school. Other times I used getonmyspace.info until they blocked that one.
I know they say "facebook" and "myspace" but you can put in any address and go..

If you manage to get UltraSurf 8 on your computer, it completely bypasses the school filters with its own proxies it finds. It is awesome and I'm using it at school. You don't need to install it, it just runs on its own. You can even access gmail and other things proxies normally can't do!

Quickest way around the blocks?

Set up a circumventor if you have a computer at home running anything but dial up.....

Alright. Saying you don't have any of that hook-up stuff. No programming knowledge. And you're on a public computer at school. The best way in my opinion to get around blocked websites is to go to google, and type in phproxy. Thats a proxy that runs off of php script, so basically, its just you type in the url of where you want to go, and you're off. And, if the school blocks your next favorite bypass website, you just go to google and type in phproxy again. Theres thousands of results. You'll have enough to bypass stuff probably as long as you're going to be attending school.

Some examples of phproxys that I've used before my school blocked them as well are:

www.quickappz.net (VERY reliable)
www.12345666.com
www.concealme.com

Theres thousands if you type in phproxy on google though. Go check it out.
