I found a few extensions quite useful while browsing the FireFox webbie...

1)Download them all(Dta)-->Quite useful..its like a download manager on firefox...seems quite fast to me...
https://addons.mozil...rg/firefox/201/

2)Adblock Plus --> blocks off ads..duh..
https://addons.mozil...g/firefox/1865/

3)IE tab -->Allows you to switch the webbie to view in IE mode while using firefox
https://addons.mozil...g/firefox/1419/

4)Noscript -->Allows you to control and disable javascript on web pages..
https://addons.mozil...rg/firefox/722/

5)Tab Mix Plus -->Enhances firefox browsing capabilities such as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows..
https://addons.mozil...g/firefox/1122/

All these are quite useful..but some are not compatible with Firefox 2.0...

It's just looks ugly, doesn't work with FireFox 2.0 upwards and is really slow.

I'm gonna pin this thread (and unpin a couple of the more redundant ones). Everyone can post their recommended Firefox extensions, and maybe someone can be in charge of reviewing the newer ones.

Right now I have:
Reload Every
https://addons.mozil...rg/firefox/115/
Refreshes your tab every X amount of seconds.

GoogleNotebook
http://www.google.co...tebook/download
Useful as a to-do list, storing web URLS which you don't want cluttering your favourites with, pretty much anything.

QuickProxy
https://addons.mozil...g/firefox/1557/
Just a lazy mans add-on really. Creates a little button which you can click to easily switch proxies on and off.

Other ones I had aren't available with FF2.0 (FasterFox, Live HTTP Headers)

Here are some more which i found..

Smart Search-->Allows you to search the highlighted words..
https://addons.mozil...rg/firefox/188/

Mousegestures: Control firefox with simple mouse movements. I liken it to drawing symbols and runes to get it to do what I want it to do smile.gif
Many flavours available, this one is a lighter version of the mouse gesture extension i use.

I love DownThemAll. I couldn't live without it tongue.gif
I've also been using Noia for awhile. It's excellent happy.gif

Does anyone know of an extension which turns text URLs into links? Not necassary, but it helps me be even lazier tongue.gif

The best adblock solution would be a thing that lets you choose on a site to download only content from wildcards. Like I would add to filters under NeoPets only allow things to be downloaded from www.neopets.com or images.neopets.com

Do any of the ones up there do that?

Im trying to find one that does sad.gif

I dont think fasterfox does much, just times how long it takes your pc to load. I have most of these extensions, but I use opera now.

I was just about to fill my hdd to the last 100 mb tongue.gif. This seems like a brilliant add-on.
