I think a newbie team would make no sense at all.
Newbies don't need help, that's what FAQ's are for. Did you need a "team" to introduce you to this site? No. What'd you do? Read or find out from experience.
Most people come for programs or from referrals. If they can't read, what are they doing on the internet?
Honestly, think real here, what kind of person actually reads the rules when they get to this site? I'm not even saying a team. Just people who are willing to communicate with the person for a couple days, if they respond. It's because the turnout of members who stay for more than programs have been low, from what I see, and if you can give them that time of day to be patient with them if they have any problems. The Faq is not the Codex bible. It isn't going to answer every question, but just general ones which are meant to be done in a professional manner. If you can get answers from people who are willing to talk to you, then it feels better than feeling like you have to bust up a bunch of ranks to be noticed. I'm not saying that you should offer "oral" services to newer members or go to extremes and bullshit a friendship, though. This is just what I see as being polite.
