Noit.. 15 (375% CPU usage) is a very unsafe level; the host shut the whole site down when the level was at 15, so obviously it's way too high. If you want to set it back to 15, be my guest. I'm not finding us another host nor am I responding to any more abuse tickets if our server load spikes unexpectedly to 375% of it's capacity.
The way the host determines safe CPU usage is the number of processors. Our server has 4 processors, so anything 4.0 and up is considered "unsafe". I was unsure of the actual 'safe' value until now.
I've increased it to 5 (which cuts the site out at 125% CPU usage) so stop refreshing and it will go away much sooner.

I would let it set for five minutes come back and it still gave me errors. Seemed to be fixed after noit did his magic though.
Tell the host to give us more processors?
I don't like the site going down for 48 hours. I also don't like the server load being to busy that I can't get to the site.
Its a lose lose situation. Barking communist.

Yeah, that probably won't work though

Eh, NeoCodex should get a sponsor...have Hydro talk to Google! We'll give them ads, and a section for them only, and in return, they pay part of our server price. Sounds great!

There's quite a bit of difference from $10.00/month (for shared) and $75.00/month (semi-dedicated). I'd rather just try and avoid going to a dedicated host at all.

Geez, you'd figure there'd be something in between that. Eventually we will have to switch since Codex is getting much larger and while closed registrations will stem the amount of newbies coming in it won't be a long time sollution

A dedicated server would be 175$ . Theres ermm one shared hosting option that is 15 a month, but I'm pretty sure it still only offers 4 processors. Hydros paying for this at any rate, so it doesn't really matter xD

I guess if we really wanted some extra cash, we could have a money-making team where Neopets and Maple players trade NP or Maple-currency for $. *cough*
