Cannot locate the CD-Rom

when i enter my disk for Age of Empires 2 (game) i get this error

"Cannot locate the CD-ROM"
"Please Insert the Correct CD-ROM, Select OK and Restart Application"


i know the cd is working because i just finished downloading it onto my computer.

help?

Well if you downloaded it then it's illegal, you have to rip it yourself. Anyways you need a no-cd crack (make sure the versions are right) and make sure you either mounted the rom (Daemon tools/PowerIso/Alcohol) or burnt it. And with AoE the online play is so much better than single player, you should really buy it. And it's cheap

Don't give him a downgraded suggestion.
If you don't know the answer or something better, don't answer.
Patches are given to crashes so don't use em.

Mind telling us what Drive Emulator you're using?
If you're using Daemon, just right click the tray icon, go to Emulation, and select ALL Options ON.
Then run your game. Should work fine.
The icon turns green after you set all options on.

More than likely your CD is copy protected. And that could be causing it to not read.

Make sure to turn emulation on in your program. Mount the iso to a drive instead ofburning to a CD. Then go for it. That's how I do all my sturf. n But I only copy games I OWN. Just backup to save my CDs from being damaged.
