You should see something like this:



If you look to the box in the top right hand corner there is a bunch of computer code. Click the "Spin Spin Spin" button, then it will show this, or something similar.


What you need to look at is the highlighed line. Between the two occurances of the word prize, ignore the greater than and less than symbols, is a number, in this case it is a 12.

The number represents the prize.

The number list is here, I believe it's complete, but may not be complete.

1. Mazzew
2. Petpet Brush
3. Gourmet Food
4. Weapon
5. 5,000 NP
6. Question Mark ( Avatar or Random itens ! )
7. Faerie Abilities
8. Red Codestone
9. Bri Codestone
10. Volcano
11. Rock: Your Neopet will loose half their hp, so its not worth waiting for.
12. Random items or avatars
13. Lottery Ticket
14. Paintbrush
15. Beast
16. 20,000 NP, there is a chance you may get a toy
99. Beast Attacks, Lottery Ticket, free Spin, other random.

It is not hard to win at cell block. PM me for a site that shows you this set of moves that allows you to win at least 90% of the time. Helps you earn the trophys and neopoints quicker than usual.

I've actually never done the Wheel of Monotony, but I'll try it today and see what I get, and I'll post about it. XD

Edit: Prize #4, aka a weapon. I'll make an update later on what weapon it is...

They updated this on neo and you can no longer see what prize you've won. Guess they found this or some other site and made it so that you can't see the prize or the user that spun it. It could be the computer I am on so don't kill me if I am wrong but I'm almost positive it no longer works. Possibly another user can try?

Thanks to temporarypro and Daniel, who with their genius investigation, solved the Wheel of Montony mystery once and for all!

Knowing when the wheel will stop

Open two browser windows. In the first one, go to your normal Wheel of Monotony URL and do your usual spin. Then to find out how long it's going to take until it stops, in the other window go to http://www.neopets.c...get_prize.phtml

On that page it will say something like "server=Our records show that the wheel hasn't finished spinning!&timeleft=6270000"

It is saying the time left it has to spin is 6270,000. The way this works is basically there is 6270 seconds left (get rid of the last 3 0's). It doesn't work on the 60 seconds a minute or 60 minutes an hour
it works on 100's. So all you have to do is get your number, in this case 6270 and divide it by 60 which gives me 104.5. Therefore my wheel will approximately finish spinning in 1 hour 44 minutes and 50 seconds.

This means you know how long your waiting will be and thus, you can time it so you can come back to your computer just as it stops spinning.

In addition, by using this trick, it seems that you don't even need to keep the WoM page open. I accidentally opened the second link in the same window as the spinning window, therefore (obviously) canceling my spin. HOWEVER, the timer continued to count down regardless of the spinning WoM window closed. When it got down to zero, refreshing the status page gave me a message (forget the exact words) and though no picture or description of the prize showed up, the prize was waiting for me in my inventory!

Note: If you spin the wheel then visit http://www.neopets.c...get_prize.phtml you don't have to leave that window open and can carry on with your normal business, even restarting the computer and as long as you go back to that page later, you'll still get your prize.

That's a cool little way to alllow you to close the game window. Its annoying lol

I'm trying it right now. It's telling me that I have #12, which is the random item/avatar prize.
