That's a dumb ass image that shows the average intelligence or knowledge of Atheism of your average Christian.

Obviously, anybody who believes nothing came from nothing to create stuff is an idiot, and most Atheists just claim that they do not know how it happened. They just refuse to believe that some omnipotent being did it all. And also, anybody who knows ANYTHING about evolution knows that a bunch of particles didn't magically rearrange themselves and become a dinosaur wink.gif

papers published in a journal run by the people that employ the creationists and reviewed by people also directly employed by the people that run the journal dont count im afraid

im sure if someone could come up with valid evidence for design nature would snap it up as quick as possible
why has that not happened?

if creationists are churning out all this ground breaking research why isnt it in nature or another even semirespected journal?

sorry i didnt include published in my original criterias
youll agree i corrected that omission rapidly

from then on you can hardly blame me if you dont know the meaning of the word published in the scientific context

i shall baby step it for you
1. published in a scientific journal
2. that is peer reviewed
3. and not funded by creationist organisations

Ummm... Sean for one I found that really offensive. There was no need to call millions and millions of people idiots v_v Why do you come into these topics if you can't control yourself? :\

Oh, and I'm just going to add that my mother is a PhD in Chem and she's a strong Christian and believes in God, but she believes that science is how God did things just as I do. There can be a middle ground. There is no this or this. There's a million different variations of beliefs. Some may say it's wrong, but hey, it's our choice to believe what we wish to believe, yes?

I don't agree with christianity, I'm agnostic, but the general beliefs set in the roots are generally well-thought out and for the best of people, such as being good to your neighbour, turning the other cheek and so forth. So Sean I don't get how you can criticise someone elses beliefs so strongly.

I'm a supporter of the BNP; Brits will know how that relates as it's been pegged as a racist party when the N stands for Nationalist which of course can encorporate racism, but the BNP doesn't. I'm fed up with having to defend my beliefs every time it's brought up, usually not by me; so in a sense I can understand how some christians feel when people like Sean attack them with little or no knowledge on the situation at hand.

Come on Sean, you're better than that.

I am stunned to see that anybody is actually offended by what I said. blink.gif The only person I called an idiot is the person who believes that EVERYTHING came from absolutely nothing as stated in that image. Now if you are a logical person, or even a slightly intelligent person... you know matter does NOT come from absolutely nothing.

And Frizzle, I know a fair deal about Christianity and such, and I support people if they want to be religious, no biggy. I was simply stating out the the inaccuracy of an image and how it relates to my situation.

That's all.

Yeah well the person who is like a second mother to me believes that. You just called my second mother an idiot. Actually just now in this post you said she has no intelligence and is illogical. Surprise surprise why I'd be offended.

Well you never know we could be evolving and not even know it. Like those people in africa who became "immune" to the HIV virus. They'll get to live and pass on their genes. Thus evolution would occur. Evolution also takes millions of years and we already have the ultimate adaptation tool.

we are evolving and those of us who prefer reality over adherence to a doctrine do know it

Well matter can come from energy, which you can't really look at so you could kinda say that it is nothing. But then you have to ask where that energy came from and then where the energy creator came from and then you just get in a neverending cycle of questions. blink.gif Your theory is slightly right/wrong and completly confusing.
Humans didn't come from monkeys, we both just came from the same ancestors. Monkeys/apes are still evolving but I dont believe they will evolve to be like us because they aren't on the same path that we are geneticly. And anyway they are going extinct from the habitat loss and the bushmeat trade so they won't have the chance to continue to evolve anyway.
Gorillas and chimps are apes not monkeys. Monkeys have tails. Just so you know.
