My favourite scenes are the Roxanne Tango scene, the scene where Christian first sees the Moulin Rouge, and the final scene. I hate the Like a virgin scene, it's terrible.
Agreed that the Like a Virgin scene just sucked. I was quite fond of the scene in the elephant when Christian and Satine are in the elephant and he just spontaneously starts singing.

I don't like that they misconstrued Absinthe so much though. I mean, it was really unheard of to do fire shots, yet thats what everyone thinks of now when you say absinthe.

Yeah that's true, but then again EVERYTHING in that movie was amplified and done in the most extreme way possible.
I don't... remember where they show someone doing fire shots though... I'm not sure what you mean actually.
There's a fire eater that I remember, is that what you mean?

The elephant medley was another scene I quite liked mm.

Lemme watch it again to give you an exact scene, but they're celebrating something (practically half the movie is celebrating, so that doesn't help much) and either Toulouse or Satie pours the glasses of absinthe and you see them melting sugar into the glasses. I'll find the part though.

The fire shots are the bit that's makes them hallucinogenic though, so it could very well have actually been done... That's the illegal part which is why it's not done now but could be then.
...Where did you gain this bit of information? Because last time I checked, it was the Thujone in the drink that makes it hallucinogenic, not the fire.
