i read the book... overall as a movie i thought it was fine the special effects and everything were acceptable... not the best but it was fair enough... but taking the book into account i don't think they did it well, i mean i understand that they can't put everything into the movie but i think alot of parts could have been more dramatic or the special effects could have been better and the only one thing that bugged me was the fact that they didn't show harry telling dumbledore to kill him so that voldemort would be killed also and voldemort saying yes to that because that was a very dramatic scene... AND the dumbledore office scene was to calm and peaceful for what just happened to harry.

This movie was not as good as expected....Deviates the most from the book out of any movie in the series.

*Spoilers i guess if you didnt read the book*
Examples : Skips part where Umbridge suspends Harry from Quiditch and Ginny takes his spot.
Skips part where it is revealed that Professor Trelawny makes the profecy which was the whole point of the scene where she is fired(Because you are supposed to think she is a fake until the end)
Skips crazy bus ride to the house.
Skips Hospital scene where Gilderoy Lockheart is in the hospital with Ron's father, and Neville's parents are there too in the mental ward.
Skips the revelation that Neville could be the target of the prophecy.
Badly explains the prophecy, Harry is never supposed to see the ball but instead have it explained by Dumbledore, it is never really explained just heard.
Vaguely explains that Sirius and Harry's father used to ridicule Snape which is why Snape is bitter towards Harry(The bitterness towards Harry as a result isnt really emphasized)
The Scene where Sirius dies is........well i dont think it is supposed to happen that way.
Oh yea, Neville is supposed to see the skele-horses. And also if no one who hasnt seen death is supposed to see them, how do they all fly to the ministry of magic riding the horses?!

I liked the last one... i noticed that to and made a big deal in the theater.. people got mad. I also noticed that it was halfway through the book about 10 min into the movie

I hate it when people compare the movie to the book, of course the movie won't be exactly like the book, it's nearly impossible.
as a movie, it was a very good movie, I would see it again.
