I am sure there has been a topic about this already but I'm posting anyways.

I GETS TO SEE THIS TONIGHT! AHHHHHH.
I'm so excited. I have a kick ass hoodie I'm wearing that I got off ebay. I even have glasses. I'm so uber nerd.
So... anyone else going to see this soon?

Just saw it, fantastic movie.

A bit disappointed considering they cut out a lot of content from the book.

This movie was not as good as expected....Deviates the most from the book out of any movie in the series.

*Spoilers i guess if you didnt read the book*

Examples : Skips part where Umbridge suspends Harry from Quiditch and Ginny takes his spot.
Skips part where it is revealed that Professor Trelawny makes the profecy which was the whole point of the scene where she is fired(Because you are supposed to think she is a fake until the end)
Skips crazy bus ride to the house.
Skips Hospital scene where Gilderoy Lockheart is in the hospital with Ron's father, and Neville's parents are there too in the mental ward.
Skips the revelation that Neville could be the target of the prophecy.
Badly explains the prophecy, Harry is never supposed to see the ball but instead have it explained by Dumbledore, it is never really explained just heard.
Vaguely explains that Sirius and Harry's father used to ridicule Snape which is why Snape is bitter towards Harry(The bitterness towards Harry as a result isnt really emphasized)
The Scene where Sirius dies is........well i dont think it is supposed to happen that way.
Oh yea, Neville is supposed to see the skele-horses. And also if no one who hasnt seen death is supposed to see them, how do they all fly to the ministry of magic riding the horses?!

In the book, they do just ride the invisble Thestrals... just, they can't see what they're riding. Harry and Luna help them get on tongue.gif

I am of the opinion that it should have been split into two films. So they could fit more of the book in.

Didn't Lupin come to pick up Harry in the book? I didn't see him in the movie.

At what point in the book?

He comes to the station at the end... other than that, I think it's just fighting in the ministry and lurking in the headquarters.

as usual, the movie deviates ALOT from the actual book, and our perspective of how things heappened... but oh well in any case the movie could of been worse..

Atleast it had almost all of ther major parts in there.

I was going to re-read the book... but... I have been getting close to 40 hours at work and I just don't have time to read an almost 900 page book again. Besides, I read it back in August anyways so I pretty well remember it. I guess. Ha. I fall asleep reading.... eh!

I thought the effects were amazing. Of course it will deviate from the plot, you simply can't fit a book that large into a single movie. Lord of the Rings came the closest, and it still didn't cover everything.

They would never split the films into two, seeing as that would alot longer time, and time isn't on the actors sides, thinking about it, Ruper Grint who plays Ron is now 18, by the 7th film comes out, he'll be around his early twenties.

Wrong.
Flitwick removes it, but leaves a little bit there because "It was a really good bit of magic." Read it again.

Saw it at midnight tongue.gif Greatness. Although, I'm rather inclined to think that David Yates is a bit of a H/LL shipper tongue.gif What was with that scene near the end where they're holding hands and all?

Btw, Evanna Lynch played Luna extremely well. The best part is, she talks like that in real life laugh.gif Her first acting roll too smile.gif
