Why don't you just advertise to the public that they are capable of blocking signatures? Honestly, it didn't bug me and I assume by the lack of complaints previous to recent weeks it wasn't bugging other people either.

If it is unneeded then why did you and other staff members make mine a page long? Huh?
Exactly, we have the option to block signatures That can effectively eliminate this problem we have right now.

I've never stopped acting like a dick. You're just noticing it now.
I've never asked anyone to kiss my ass, not have I ever went and made a rule of my own. I'm merely posting staff decisions, and you decided to take it out on me. Sure, you act like you're being mature, calling for a vote, but it's only masking the fact that you're being an immature little kid, crying about not getting your way. Throwing tantrums over small things is something I'd consider an attitude problem.

So far it seems like most people are against limiting the size of signatures, at least the text portion. I'm all for removing the ads, but what is wrong with a few lines of text? You just get used to scrolling over it, and if there is a significant change you will notice it.

Wow, you just got back and already you're acting like a dick
That's the point of staff! Pick what's best for the community. This wasn't brought about because a few lines of text. It was brought about because is the ridiculously large signatures people have.
He means making a snide remark. CC is handy, stating the obvious isn't. Do you have something constructive to say as to why this signature rule is a bad idea?

As far as i'm aware a signature is meant to be used to 'sign off' a message not to provide users with a full screen of crap (the graphics people call it art I believe).

You're right, signatures are too big. How about you remove the huge quote box below your image. That would free up a ton of space.
Its great to know we have a dick in control now

My problem with the rule is that it's blatantly unnecessary, especially when people have the option to block signatures. Honestly it seems like something staff did just to make it seem like stuff was being done with the site. This rule is useless.

Peace out!
So. Anything that's more than that and not in spoiler tags isn't allowed? Just to be clear.

But um i dont have a problem. Mainly because .. the long sigs are a bit repetitive. They never change. So i dont see why people are pissed. Because its NOT anything new. Nothing they havent seen a hundred times. if seeing a new line in tetiels signature or another sig in ians is SUCH a big deal and pressing a button to see it is SO big of a drag then .. i dunno. you can ignore the rest of this post.
Also .. because im on a laptop and i have a small screen its just SO annoying to see those huge signatures. Not everybody has a new and fast computer. Have some luff for cara and the slowass computers.
And no offence but all those text colors started giving me a epileptic attacks and i just scrolled over them anyways.
And ill stop ranting. Because .. i promised myself not to post here.
But i must say that um.. the only thing im not loving is the no very mature content. i mean .. stay here for a month and im SURE youll hear worse.
edit .. yeah anno .. i talk too much. ;___;

Yeah I may have been rude and so was everyone else, but I was not being nonconstructive. My issue when I first posted in this thread was that I found this rule to be pointless because people have the option to block signatures they do not wish to view. If a person has an issue with a large signature they can block it - I personally don't care and actually like seeing these signatures, particularly Tetiel's. My issue has now expanded. I have a hard time comprehending why some of the staff seems to think the opinions of the members of Neocodex are not worth anything.

cause some people obnviosly take alot of pride in their sigs... but that's their battle to fight.. mine had always been one image and a small quote... so i'm well within limitations
Have you got nothing better to do?
no not at all...... plus the pyramid looks pwnful
