Games
Yeah, you can't go nowhere without games... that's what I ment with "Don't be lazy".
What games to play?
Well, simple - The ones that you're good at. You ARE good at something, aren't ya ? If you need an example, I play Jubble Bubble, The Return of The Return of Dr Sloth, both Hannah games, Sophie's stew. When you're finished with the games that you're good at, go on with the easy games. Example: Usuki Frenzy, Ultimate Bullseye, Turmac Roll, Defender Trainer, etc.
Let's calculate: From the games I'm good at I win totally 15,000 NP + Usuki frenzy - 700 NP + Ultimate Bullseye - 2,000 NP + Turmac roll - 1,300 NP + Defender Trainer - 1,200 NP = 20,200 NP Exactly. Let's calculate again:
20,200 x 7 = 141,400 NP for one week
20,200 x 30 = 606,000 NP for one month
This is ONLY from games.
Also, there are the so called World challenges for the games. When you enter a challenge, you play against other players from the site for the NP prize and a World challenge map piece.
World challenge maps are maps from 20 pieces, and when you collect them you can convert them to see what prizes it contains. Just like the other maps, you can sell the WC maps for 300k I think. The prizes from the maps are NP prize and a random expensive item.
Better Than You. BTY is also a game challenge, made by a character on a random game. The First people to beat the challenger's score earn a shiny trophy.
Contests
You can win a lots of Neopoints and items from the contests, like the Beauty Contest, Caption contest, Poetry contest, Random contest, etc.
The Beauty Contest (Also known as the BC) is a contest where you can win trophies, NP and items by drawing a good picture of your pet and submiting it. You can win at Species and Overall.
Species is that you can win only from your neopet's species. Example: I have a Shoyru, and I'm First place in Species but third in Overall
Overall winning is a bit hard because you have to draw the best! Although, there are some people that link directly to their drawing and they get a lot of votes on stupid pictures.
The Caption Contest is a contest where you can try your sense of humour and make a funny story on a picture decided by TNT. You can win a trophy if you win and I think some NP, but I'm not sure.
Restocking
You can earn plenty of NP by restocking. Restocking is to buy items from the neopian shops, and sell them in your shop with better prices.
What's the deal? Well, if you buy a item for 1000 NP and sell it for 2500 NP it's not a lot profit, but think of it. If you buy, sell, buy sell, buy sell you can get a lot of cash that way! Here's a guide that can help you to restock.
Run a Good Shop
The shop is very important to get a lot of neopoints. To restock, you'll need a shop. Make it about size 20, maybe even smaller. Don't fill it with graphics and music, because it will load really slowly and it will blast the customers heads. I prefer a nice colors like heavenly blue, light pink, medium green. You better not put light red, light green, light yellow. Also, if you're making a mall, be sure the links aren't so big, to be comfortable.
Run a Guild
If you run a succesful guild, more people will know you and if you are a good guild master, the members may donate to you, I don't know. (:
Dailies
There are places in Neopia that you can visit daily and sometimes you can win something big!
Trophies
The trophies are important part of your lookup! The more trophies you have, the prettier your lookup is.
You can win trophies by playing games, winning contests, participate in plots, wars, and collecting avatars.
Trading Post
The Trading Post (TP) is made for trading items between the players. Use the TP for Unbuyable items (worth over 100,000 NP) that you have found or bought.
What is Pure, ETS, and HTS?
Pure NP is when the player wants to sell their item for only for NP.
Example: Wishlist of *******: Pure NP please !
That means the player wants NP and not items
ETS stands for Easy To Sell. Some of the users want to sell their items for other items that they can easily sell.
HTS stands for Hard to sell. Nobody wants HTS unless it's overpaid. Most HTS are bought by resellers and collectors.
Auction House
The Neopian auction house is a place where users can put their items up for auctions and the other users bid higher and higher. The highest bid within the time limit gets the item.
Example: I put up a Christmas Paint Brush for auction. The starting price is 115,000 NP. The minimal increment is 1,000 NP. Maybe there'll be a lot of bids, and I'll sell it for 140,000 NP (Yes, some users just want their bid to be the highest and don't care they overpayed). But maybe I'll sell the Paint Brush for 116,000 NP. Depending on how many users are interested in it.
When you're buying an item, prepare to fight for it. I prefer to bid in the last minutes before the auction is over, when everybody made their bid and everything is fine. And still it's not sure that you'll get the item.
The Stock Market
The Stock market is a place when you can buy shares from companies, wait them to grow and sell them with better prices. Although, the share's prices may grow, but they can degrease too. It's best to wait them to grow to 50 % or more and then sell them.
Things to watch out for
First, and most importand, watch out for SCAMS. So many people complain on the boards that they've been scammed.
Example: If somebody send you a neomail and he wrote in it: "Give me your pwd and PIN number and i'll give you 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 NP and 100,000 Paint Brushes"
Would you believe him? Of course not !
If you see somebody on the boards who's telling: "Give me a paint brush and i'll tell you how to get 1,000,000,000,000 NPs." Well, if he knows how to get so much NP he probably would have some paint brushes... lol.
Watch out for e-mails too. Last month I received an e-mail with the following:
This e-mail is from The Neopets Team. If you don't send us back your username, pass, PIN number and current e-mail you'll be frozen in 3 days Because our monitors have detected you have posted se*ual or offensive content on the NeoBoards!
Neopets is not a dating service."
I thought the neopets team knows our informations and don't tell us before we get iced... no matter. Just don't fall for scams!
