Do you guys get many Viruses? I use Linux so I can't really comment about the level of spy/mal/ad-ware and viruses on the net.
I havent had one in 5 years Back then I wasnt nearly as smart either.

Unless you are in some sort of hacking / exploit community and people have grudges against you, I really have never seen a reason for a firewall. Everyone I've seen so far where a firewall has actually helped them, is in one of those kinds of community so it is then beneficial. I will agree though Hardware Firewall > Software firewall, and almost all if not all routers have them automatically enabled. Its possible to bypass them but it is extremely hard and you are running into 1 genius hacker if they happen to do it.
