Wow, impressive tongue.gif

I thought it was a case of you needed to be here for a couple of years or something.

Well yeah, someone with no posts could get in. Someone who's been here for 2 months could get in as well. But the chances of that happening are like 1/100,000,000 tongue.gif So yeah that's why I said the standard is a year and half, since someone actually has a chance of getting in then. tongue.gif

Yes. Pokemon and japanese are about the only people that're let in. Well, and atheists.

What the hell do we need more complications for?
I'd say remove Private all together, just leave Retired and make it the the new private. Too much hierarchy.

Is it really that complicated?

member -> advanced member -> private -> retired.

I don't see how it's that hard. That is the core ranks of codex. Everything else is on a separate track all together.

Since I dont even have a rank, my opinion on this probably doesn't matter but I think there should be an expiration date. Once I do get a rank(hopefully soon) I wouldn't want someone that doesn't do their job anymore or who doesn't care to be having the same rank as me if I was doing my job. Thats not cool.

These ranks have no job though. So you wouldn't be doing any more or less than the member next to you who hasn't been around for six months.

Oh ok. I still don't like the idea of someone who doesn't even come here still having the rank. I think they should lose it temporarily then but it should be easier for them to get it back the second time. Thanks for clarifying.

Voted a 'YAY'. Personally, I think that being inactive (in this case, leaving codex without informing) is wrong! laugh.gif

Well, I'm one of those who has gone inactive a lot in the past and I'd have been disappointed to return to no rank... but I'd deserve it, some would argue. tongue.gif I'll just have to not do it again...
I don't really have an opinion on the matter, though. I just know that if I'd lost Retired I'd have probably been a little grumpy about it. tongue.gif

Actually thinking about it'd be a shame to see really old members who've been just retired for years now, who pop back maybe every few months or whatever, pop back as only an advanced member =/. Like when Kim and Steven and that pop back. It'd be weird.
