For those of you outside Europe, Euro 2008 is an international soccer tournament.

Unfortunately England (my home nation) didn't make it into the tournament, much to the shock of the English fans and the rest of Europe. Curse you Croatia *shakes fist*. I'll be supporting Portugal as that is the team I got in a sweepstake . Anyone else going to be following a particular team?

I think they have a good chance. A few teams do this time in my opinion.

I would hate to see Germany win....but I think they might just do it .

I always support Croatia ever since I got given them to study in Year 4 and the World Cup that was going on then . So go Croatia!!

(I really really don't follow football though, I just like to hear about them winning )

Spain seem to be the 'nearly' team all the time. They come close but never quite pull it off. It's about time they won something .

If germany win it will be a shame, i would rather croatia win it......

Spain have some good stars but overall have a mostly overated squad that are running on the reputations only.

Holland are battering Italy at the moment. I thought there would be some goals in this game but it would still be pretty even....but it's looking as though Holland will get a couple more goals.

Im not really going to be following it that much but there are 3 teams who i would like to see win, holland, italy or portugal

....because throughout football history they have been a pain in the arse and knocked us out of major tournaments time after time (usually on penalties).

Being Dutch, I would love for Holland to win Euro 2008. I was pleasantly surprised with the Holland-Italy game.Nice payback for that horrible 2006 game. And it proofed vd Sar still got it for sure. A really nice safe at a crucial moment in the game. We'll see how they do the rest of the tournament. But my hopes are definitely up.

Its not their thought they beat England a couple times on penalties lol....Holland have a good team but lack consistency this will be seen in there next 2 games i think

So spain were pretty amazing last night. David Villa will be in the English Premier League next season I reckon.....hope Man Utd are tempted after his performance last night.

It's still possible if they can score goals freely. They are crap at defending set pieces though....and Ricardo is looking pretty shakey in goal.

I guess anything is possible when you consider Greece won it last time and they were pathetic last night.
