I think it is time to end this experiment. This topic has turned from the chit-chat it was supposed to be, to a steaming pile of shit. It is pure spam, and I have yet to see one completely reasonable topic within it. We've always said quality over quantity in the past, yet now we are severely lacking quality posts, and we have a ton of this garbage.

I understand this is a place where everyone can post whatever they like, but the GC is for that too. The spam in here is over the top. It is always pointed out that no active member is really warned for spamming, yet now it seems members are pushing the limits, even in this section. At the very least, suspend the spammers from this section for a period of time. Sean's bullshit is completely unnecessary, and so is most of the garbage going into this section.

Any other thoughts on the subject?

Meh. I was just going along with it, but I didn't feel I was stepping out of line any. If I did I apologize.

It's really mostly the same two or three idiots pulling the bullshit though. So I'm all for removing them from the section, even if only for a few days, to see if anything better shows up.

I think the only thing this section has proved so far is that the older members can be just as annoying, if not more annoying, then the newer members.

As far as removing it, I don't think that's going to happen, in the next few days anyways. So far the section has been fine. Yes it's a pain in the ass to moderate. The spam isn't really the problem, more so that it moves extremely fast so for anyone to follow it is out of the question.

This is still an experimental thing so until we get sufficient reason to get rid of it, it's likely to stay. Sufficient reasoning doesn't mean a few members act like idiots. We'll just remove the perms from those people and then make posts laughing at them about it.

But I have to agree with Hawk a bit ... it is a bit annoying to see so many useless posts in the list. I don't mind having a spam forum but I'm just hoping that it will calm down soon .

I think the older members are just looking at it wrongly, as I think most people are. It shouldn't be considered a "spam section" Just considered a place where you can post more freely ( as you would on MSN or AIM or what not ) and not have to worry about any spam policies coming into effect.
