Ugh.

Once again. Try to understand our Magnetic Field BEFORE you post.

Lol i have no reason to understand before i post what ive heard. I said its a possibility, and it is, that link doesnt prove otherwise, only states that it is unlikely, especially from something such as a cosmic alignment. But you werent here 74,998 years ago when there was a massive cosmic alignment, your own opinion doesnt mean anything to me.

Mayan Prophecies sound like a religion. They calculate(made up) some complex numbers, no proof or anything, and say the world will end.

That's how bullshit rumors/'facts' spread. I am disappoint.

They did not make up complex numbers nor did they say the world would end :/.

All they did was make a calendar that ended on december 21 2012... scientist's than realized that was the exact date of the 75,000 year cosmic alignment.

Scientists can say whatever they want, it's all a coincidence, and you shouldn't believe everything TV shoves at you either.

I don't believe that gravity works by us being pulled in...
I've always felt like I've been pushed down, not pulled in. Lol

Gravity doesn't work in either of those ways.
It's a different force entirely.

I'm not at all worried about it. Here is why;

either A: Bullshit

or B: It happens, proving their is omnipotent beings, and I go to heaven.

So WIN/WIN really.

Wait... how exactly does a cataclysm prove the existence of an omnipotent being? Unless you consider the universe an omnipotent being... and if THAT is the case... then there would be no "Heaven" to go to. I look forward to seeing how destroying mankind falls into the plans of a caring "God"

The mayans told the rest of the world to cut it out, they didn't mean the world was ending. SO I'm going with no on this one.

(Didn't read the thread, hope it wasn't derailed making this post irrelevant)

I don't believe the world ends in 2012 (or else I have wasted half my life playing Neopets:x3:)

Maya ppl stopped calculating until 2012, I believe it's because of limitation of technology;)

Just another pagan holiday Christian's want to claim their own.

This is just another way to cash in on the public's stupidity (cough, ability to be manipulated by propaganda). The Mayan's calendar was NOT that accurate at all, I think they used 300 day years or something like that? So it's not like they were more sophisticated than we were. And chances are, that cartoon is actually right about the calendar... not even joking. Lol.

But the graphics look pretty cool on the movie. =P

And also, I think in the movie, they combine a whole bunch of different, random apocalyptic scenarios into one... It's kinda odd. :o

What's ridiculous in this movie is for example when there are two building falling and a plane is coming and woah the plane manage to pass through the two building, it's like "they're not gonna make it, they're not gonna make it" "oohh they made it :D"

More days doesn't mean more accurate and their calender was marginally more accurate than ours
