Sadly apparently that's what even our "genius" scientists and such think... Shame shame...

Um, i may be wrong, but the years AD. began with Jesus supposed death, yet it was found that he actually died 3 years earlier. The church never moved the calendar back, as to avoid confusion, so 12/21/12 would in reality be sometime in 2009

So no death for us lulz.

What I find funny is that all the dates related to Jesus are off. Everyone says we celebrate xmas cause its Jesus' bday but wasn't he born in spring sometime like March or May or something??

They foresaw the date mistake and made the calculations accordingly.

I think that had something to do with trying to convert Pagans, who celebrated Winter Solstice around that time of year. I can't remember the deal with Easter but I'm pretty sure it was something similar.

It's been that way for how many years now? That's like saying Pluto is no longer a planet. You can say it but the people who have lived their lives saying it's a planet will still can it a planet. Besides. They're lazy.

Enlightenment will come to us from the Galactic center, aka "The Dark RIft", as noted via the new sign Opuicus, aka "the serpent bearer", which sits at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. :D

If it happens, it happens and there is nothing we can do about it.
But it probably (most definitely) won't.

^Lol

And I agree; if it happens, and even IF it were true, freaking out would only cause chaos... Best way to do is accept it and act calmly. Though, being that I doubt, and most people doubt it also, best thing to do is absolutely nothing, as we believe it won't happen :p

I know people said this because the Mayas stopped doing their famous calendars on the 21th of December of 2012, but what if they just didn't wanted to do more calendars? or what about if they ran out of rocks and they dindn't wanted to go and look for more? Just wondering... I don't believe in that. I agree with you, I mean if the scientist would said that, I would be worried but I don't think this Maya theory is true.

Also, the Sun can't "align with the Milky Way". It's -in- the Milky Way.

Haha. That's what I thought too...how can it? Unless it magically pops out the Milky Way, and does it from there? Unlikely/impossible.

So, nah I don't believe that. And I can guarantee you that the Daily Mail's headline on the 20th December 2012 will be 'END IS NIGH' or something...

This theory is based of the mayan calender correct? So wouldn't this have date technically already happened?
