File Updated: 14 Nov 2010
File Category: Auto Players
Version: 1.5.2

Neopets Dice-a-Roo Auto Player
Version 1.5.1

This program allows the end-user to play the Neopets game "Dice-a-Roo" automatically.

The features of this program currently include:

  • Automatic and manual 'collect' option.
  • Records prizes, jackpots, etc in a saveable log.
  • Store prizes in Safety Deposit Box so the Pant Devil does not take them.
  • Current dice viewable as a picture.
  • Custom wait intervals.
  • Proxy/Custom User-Agent support.
  • Choose what to log.
  • As with all of our other NPLogin-powered programs, automatic browser cookie detection.

This program requires you to download the Neocodex Python Runtime Files, located in the "Required Files" folder.

Please note that this program is in its BETA stage. It does not yet log the amount of jackpot that you receive. If a jackpot does show up for you, please let us know so we can analyze the debug file that the program creates.

Please report any bugs that you encounter in the Bug Tracker thread located here.

It says 'An error occurred' when I try to download it, and I can't see any files at all in the Downloads.

Woohoo basic program but very nicely coded! :) Easy to maintain!

Awesome job. A very needed program. Love the interface!

We should add in TarlaGrabba to the system as well :)

We should just redo TarlaGrabba man, I can probably code it way better now. :p It doesn't even use NPLogin yet, haha.

I only just recently found out about Tarla, and if you released just such a program, I'd be on that faster than any autobuyer on the market (but then again, my account hasn't aged long enough for an ABer to be useful, so...). I'll be more than happy to beta test these progs, though... as an insomniac Vista user, I'm sure I can provide some useful feedback.

That sounds great. :D We need someone to be using our programs in Vista actually since all I've tried it on was XP.

By the way I fixed your bug. It had nothing to do with Vista whatsoever... more to do with the fact that you didn't have Firefox installed. :p

You will need to uninstall the old version and reinstall with the new version. The installer doesn't overwrite the old version. :(

I know because dlg doesn't exist in the program anymore. :p

It seems that Vista stores the cookies in a different place than Windows XP. I'll fix this tomorrow. :p You should still be able to run the program though because I reproduced the problem by uninstalling Firefox, and then removed the dlg thing because it was named in error.

Phew, glad to hear it. I was honestly scared that Vista didn't support Python 2.5 for a second and that all hell was about to break loose. :p Thanks for testing. :D

I'll have to address this cookie stuff eventually though.

You mean you'd prefer a program that can grab one item once a day, that could range from a 100np item up to UB, but more than likely the former, over an AB?

That's just strange and illogical.

I thought that you could grab a Tarla item once every 90 seconds. I don't mind a little bit of mystery in my item buying, but since my account isn't aged properly for proper auto-buying, the Tarla program seems like a fun gamble for me... with the reaction time and exact timing (exactly 90 seconds) that I as a human just could not pull off.

AND... as a bit of a program update, the BETA for the Dice-a-Roo player is wonderful... not without bugs, but absolutely better than clicking that damn button every few seconds.

AND... on the topic of program suggestions, is there any possibility for an option to create one of two log files? I would like the option to switch from the abbreviated log (Items and Mystic Winds) to a full log (every roll). This is more for studying the exact inner workings of the Dice-a-Roo game on a personal level, but I believe (or hope) I'm not the only one in just such a feature.

Another suggestion: Can we have a login button on the main GUI? I don't mind storing my data on an option page, but it would be nifty to login without opening the option page.

So long as you are logged in in Firefox, the program should detect your cookies and use those. Might be easier than logging in manually each time (safer too :p).

Thanks. :p Well, I suppose I could make two log files as part of a "debug" feature of some sort. :p

Since I'm using a seperate module altogether for the login, I don't think that will be feasible given that we want programmers to include this login system to their program anywhere they want. We opted away from that kind of setup because it doesn't really look that professional if everything is just sprawled out on the main form, and the portability of the login between programs is awesome right now. :p Furthermore, it's important to have some sort of standardized login for our programs so that we keep freeze rates low.

We may be talking about two different things, since I thought they were talking about the tarla giveaway, not the shop of mysteries (which I figure you're talking about too). I misinterpreted what the tarla grabba was going to do :p

You and I were talking about different things ><

I'm sorry that I misunderstood. I didn't see the original program, and the only thing I could think of off-hand involving Tarla was the Mystery Shop.

I appreciate you addressing the problem, but I believe cookies are stored differently in Vista, because I have to log in manually, and it logs me out of my session in Firefox. I'm sure that once Shadow collects the appropriate data this issue will be resolved.

Perhaps just a BUTTON that activates that settings module? I haven't seen the code's layout, so I don't know how much of a pain in the ass that would be. I can understand that the program is neat and tidy right now, but what I was thinking of was just a button instead of two text boxes and some buttons.

But then again, if the cookie grabber works in Vista then this issue should be moot because I should already be logged in correctly in Firefox.

The said login module has the GUI internally coded in, haha. And yes, once I have vista cookies fixed you won't need to worry about this. I will also be making an update to the CookieImporter that will export cookies back to the browser tonbight.

I'm making arrangements to have a Vista virtual machine set up at the moment to test on. :p

Thanks! Love the program! It's working well for me. I'm using XP too though. One suggestion for a feature I would like is an option to put prizes in one's shop or Safety Deposit Box so that the Pant Devil doesn't get them when you get to the Silver Dice.

Also, could you have the number randomizer pick times that aren't even seconds?

I would think that even numbers like 2,3,4,5 etc. might seem a little odd to TNT... but maybe I'm just a little bit too paranoid :p

One more suggestion: It has been proven that the mystic wind does nothing, so can the basic log be limited to items, lottery tickets, pant devil steals, and jackpots? Basically stuff that affects you without collecting your winnings.

And while I'm at it, I'll ignore my computer while this is running. Any chance of getting a noise (like a "Ding!") when the pet gets bored.

...Look at me nitpicking and requesting options...

Alright. Download required files ect. Install the Dice a roo player. Try and open exe of program to commence using it. Get error message saying see log.
This might sound stupid but when i try and look at the error log its not there. The error message gives a file location, but according to my computer that file location does not exist?.

Any ideas?

It's in the same location as the exe... so it should be in C:\Program Files\Neocodex\PythonApp
