Things are heating up as the finals approach, so let's get right down to the business of this exciting day in games

Shenkuu gained much-needed points in their sweep of Faerie Land, moving from 5th to 4th place; and Haunted Woods claimed their easy day in the sweep of Altador, moving from 9th to 8th place.

Roo Island proved their strength when taking on opponents in their league with a clean sweep of Kiko Lake.

Virtupets wiped out the opposition in SOSD and MSN, then changed the plan, shifting to YYB, but only pulled off a draw against Terror Mountain, and Terror Mountain got the win in Slushie Slinger.

No. 7 Maraqua and No. 8 Mystery Island duked it out on the field, and Maraqua graduated with flying colors proving their incredible momentum on the way up. Mystery Island took the victory on Make Some Noise, but couldn't hold off the undersea marauders as they fought their way to victories in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. Maraqua's win took them up to 6th and dropped Mystery Island to 9th.

Krawk Island had a disappointing day against Meridell, only able to claim victory in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown, giving up a loss in Slushie Slinger... this wouldn't be too bad a day if it weren't for the fact that Meridell is currently in 11th place and only has a 7-3-11 record in Slushie Slinger. It seems that something went wrong in the planning stages of what should have been a quick sweep.

Kreludor widened their winning lead with a strong showing against the Slushie Slinger heavy Tyrannia, receiving a Win in all games except Slushie Slinger, where they drew. Kreludor expanded their lead from a .5 weighted difference to a .75 weighted difference.

Biggest showdown of the day goes to No. 3 Darigan vs No. 4 Lost Desert. The tough games don't seem to end for Darigan and their weariness is starting to show. Taking advantage of a weakened team, Lost Desert stole victories in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise, and defending draws in both other games. This power show moved Lost Desert into 3rd place, and the Darigan team dropped to 5th place... and they're now fighting up-hill to get back into the coveted top-4 seeding. Darigan took the biggest tumble in the standings we've seen since the first half of the tournament.
