As usual, things are plenty interesting down here at the Altador games, so lets jump into the less surprising standings first.

Sweeps of the day included Mystery Island and Roo Island taking full wins over Faerie Land and Altador respectively.

Today was the first time in a few days that there were 3 sweeps, and Lost Desert brings us the honors against Terror Mountain. Lost Desert's points shifted them from 4th to 3rd place in the standings, reclaiming the position from Shenkuu.

Virtupets' coding must have been a bit off today, because the plan usually goes SOSD -> MSN -> SS -> YYB... but some of the players must have gotten the orders wrong, as the team lost it in Make Some Noise, but drew in Slushie Slinger. Had they acted in solidarity, they may have taken the full Slushie Slinger win from Maraqua.

No. 8 Haunted Woods secured a victory against No. 7 Tyrannia, but it was only gained through sacrificing all side games to win YYB in the process. Another technical win without much bearing on the overall standings (besides stagnation that allows other teams to sneak up and pass).

No. 13 Kiko Lake wouldn't seem to have a big chance against Kreludor, and they didn't... but they showed enough to prevent a sweep by drawing in Make Some Noise. We get the message, Kikos... just because you're round doesn't mean you're cuddly.

Darigan had to face No. 11 Meridell and Meridell did pretty well against a No. 5 opponent. Meridell was able to claim Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise before the tired and beaten (after that hard 3 days) Darigan claimed YooYuBall and Shootout Showdown. Darigan needs to accept that their rest days are over and that it's time to make their move if they want to taste the top-4 finals.

Big showdown today between No. 2 Krawk Island and No. 3 Shenkuu. As you can expect, these teams were pretty closely matched. As the day came close to completion, Krawk Island managed to pull ahead in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, avoiding a complete draw.

Sorry I couldn't get into too much detail here. I'm way behind deadline and I'm working on a borrowed typewriter (aka laptop). But I told you I'd cover the games every day and I'm not letting a thing like that get in my way.
