File Name: Gormball Auto Player
File Submitter: Hydrogen
File Submitted: 15 Jul 2009
File Updated: 30 May 2010
File Category: Auto Players
Version: 1.0.5

This program allows the end-user to play the Neopets game Gormball automatically.

The features of this program currently include:

  • Waits 5 seconds on the first move and waits 1 second on every other move.
  • Always uses Thyassa since she has been known to have greater chances.
  • Play for x minutes
  • Play until x Neopoints have been earned
  • Records events, NP gained, random events, etc in a log.
  • Proxy/Custom User-Agent support.
  • As with all of our other NPLogin-powered programs, automatic browser cookie detection.

This program requires you to download the Neocodex Python Runtime Files, located in the "Required Files" folder.

Please report any bugs that you encounter in the Bug Tracker thread located here.

Version History:
1.0.5 - Added Browser Sync (Iargue)
1.0.4: Fixed Neopets Login Code Change
1.0.3: Fixing issue with xcn detection. Neopets apparently changed something tongue.gif.
1.0.2: Adding avatar detection and removing default stop after 20 minutes.
1.0.1: Added catch for pet being bored. Program also now logs when we get the Gormball avatar.
1.0: Initial release.

Haha, Hydro will have to fix that... or maybe I can, I don't know if he committed all of his code though.

I'm glad SOMEONE around here doesn't have any commitment issues. :p

I'll add this to the overall prog list after I'm done getting it dirty with my dirty mitts

Alright, I updated the file in the downloads section. Shouldn't have that problem anymore :p. It's really weird if we do though .

Thanks noit :). I'm going to try to work on Go Go Go tomorrow. I read the rules and now I know how to make a program for it :p. Shouldn't take long :p.

I'll try to have it done by tomorrow night or Thursday night :).

Stopped while playing... like the other programs used to do...

Edit... Nevermind? Cookie error.

Really shouldn't have been, though... is this why I've been having login issues? Do the programs not know where to keep a cookie?

Pet got bored, Hydro... and the program wasn't prepared to handle it:

Entered an unexpected state. Stopping. See HTML log.

HTML file showed my pet got bored. If you need the html file, I can send it to you.

And I think you should consider adding an "items won" counter to the statistics. It's an added bonus to Gormball, much like Dice-a-Roo that adds value to running the program. It's worth documenting for later usage :p

I think it's my fault that he made this one. I was playing Gormball when he was talking to me the other day. :p

Well, then... thank you, Tailwind... this game is annoying as hell when you have to click it every few seconds :p

Pfft, I find it fun. Then again I guess one of the older Neopians who used this has their main income before Flash games existed would, huh? :p

I'll admit that I came in after the flash games were invented...

But still... there's not much in the way of strategy or variance. (I'd prefer a game of Neggsweeper or Pyramids, personally)

But that may just be me being a stubborn botter :p

I thought it was a godsend when I found out you could hold enter to finish the game for you.

I did that for everything that wasn't flash related as well. Who actually manually fought Bob when they had a weak pet and did no damage to him?

You actually sat there and did it? Back then, I didn't have enough patience to wait for my toast, let alone fight Bob.

Yar, I did. Wasn't hard, just tedious. I even had Dial-Up back then too, so it was especially boring.

*dies*

There's no way I could have handled that crap. You overestimate my attention span. I'm currently botting, playing PS2 and posting here at the same time. If anyone would wake up, I might get to texting too :p

Damn I hate dial up <_<. I always told myself that I wouldn't be a 56k hater since I had dial up for a really long time myself. I feel bad for those still suck with it and am never going back

As for the program stuff, yes, please send me the HTML source when the pet gets bored in a pm and also tell me to update the description :p. Pm or bug tracker entry is fine :p
