Ok I'm in a bind here. I need to wax my legs right now. But my microwave is frickin busted. I heard you can melt it on the stove but I can't find any directions online (i suck at googling) and I really don't want to melt the plastic because this is the only source I have and I can't go out and get more at this point.

How do I melt wax on the stove?

It's for candle wax, but I'm sure might work the same way :)

Why does it need to float upright? The hot water will heat it just fine, regardless of the way the packet is floating?

Or, you can use something metal to weight it.

I thought you have to leave it uncapped due to vapor formation. So if it's uncapped then the wax tips and water is now in. If it melts then it mixes straight into the water and into my pot

Get a large thing of water, fill 2/3 and boil. Hold a smaller container over it, so it is eithr right above the water or just touching. Place wax in that. The heat from the water should heat it, but not burn it.

Why, if you feel that removing the hair on your legs is necessary, can't you use a razor blade?

Or you can pay $10 for something like sandpaper and scrub your hair off your body.

... why do you have to take the hair off your legs? Swimteam or did you lose a bet?

Why would you buy that? Just get a new microwave XD.

Slightly more expensive. Hundreds more uses :)

Next time hun you can buy wax strips that dont need heating, they work fine aslong as you get a good brand :) either that or a hair removal cream is ok for legs
