PC all the way
The only other alternative would be a Server, which I dont think fits his needs very well?
If you dont understand. The term PC is short for Personal Computer. You're overprices Mac is also a Personal Computer.
So. This topic is just full of redundancy. Thanks for brining it up again.

If I've the money, I would own a macbook. They are way more portable but there's so many programs not working on Mac so I'm kinda torn anyway
Er. They are not more portable... Are you on crack?

Lots of programs aren't compatible with MAC.

I don't care what people say about macs being more user friendly. They're only user friendly if you suck at dealing with computers in the first place.

I have a Mac labtop and a PC desktop. My degree is in graphics so I'm used to macs because of school, but overall as a computer I use my PC.

You could just get parallels for the mac and run windows on that. Then you wouldn't need a desktop...

My laptop is a PC which is great as well but I'm getting a Mac laptop for college so I guess my current laptop will just be used for the programs on here. lol.

And why is Mac even capitalized? The only thing special about it is that it costs 1000 dollars more. So for a thousand dollars extra you get to capitalize Mac? Thats stupid.
Please close this topic because its pointless for it to even be here. The title is asking people if they should have a computer or a computer, and thats pointless. They will obviously get a personal computer which means that the answer will always be PC, or it will be nothing.

Can we close this topic already? Its really stupid to have a topic called, "Computer or computer" considering a Mac is a fucking pc as well. I'm sick of seeing stupid people post about technology. Tell them to go to another forum to talk about how much they love the Mac because its not a Personal Computer somehow, or how they manage to not have a virus when over 60# of Macs have virus's.

Quit worrying about semantics. The implication is obvious.

but mac is certainly cool^^
there are little tits and bits that make mac cooler in some points than a pc, and there are many program alternatives for mac too
it's a pointless discussion imo bcz it depends on what you use it for, in some points you'd better use a mac and for others a pc
