I love my mac for sure. <3 Macbook pro. True a lot of stuff isn't compatible with it but I use mac for graphics and it's also prettier and easier to use than windows imho.
I use windows if I REALLY have to game or do something, else it's mac all the way.

i love my Mac. I only use it messing about on the net and typing up essays/reports. I don't need to run any fancy programs or anything, so the fact that certain programs aren't compatible with Macs doesn't concern me in the slightest. I find them to be easier to use.
Mine runs a lot faster than any Windows computer/laptop I've had also. Almost every PC and laptop I've had has had problems somewhere down the line. So far I've not had any problems with my Mac (I've even dropped it a few times - I think my heart stopped for a few seconds each time)
I like the screen better, I find it to be slightly clearer and brighter. I like the function keys at the top and some of the nifty shortcuts. I love the Spaces and Exposé ("Hot corners") features, I find them very useful. I personally think the general appearance of Macs is a lot nicer and more modern than most PCs and laptops.

The only thing I didn't like about my Mac was the price. However, you can buy discounted refurbished Macs which I was unaware of before I bought mine. I did get about 13% student discount, though.

I am strongly compelled to get a Mac. But i always have to remind myself, with the amount of money spent on a Macbook Pro, i could get a much better spec Windows running laptop. But Mac is so gorgeous!! Mac has the BEST trackpad too. Don't really use the trackpad on my laptop, well, cause it really sucks, so I'm forced to use a mouse. Just bought the Microsoft Arc, good as hell. (:

I couldn't agree with this more.

I love the look of macs, and the pretty software. Plus, I do use my computer primarily for graphics, web design, and media. Macs seem to shine in these areas.
However, I remember that for a Macbook pro with an good processor, I can get a Windows laptop so much cheaper.

I'll likely be purchasing a new computer this year, because my laptop provided from my university isn't the greatest, and when I do, it will be a hard decision to decide between a Mac of Windows notebook.

My friend showed me this funny quote from encyclopediadramatica...

If I had the choice between being gay and owning a Mac, I would rather be gay because if I owned a Mac, I would be both gay and own a horrible computer.

It tickled my funny bone =D I wouldn't mind owning a Mac, it's just that with the equivalent price, you could get something much better =/

I took the plunge and finally got a Mac for college and I don't regret it at all. It really is so much easier to use than a Windows computer (not that Windows is hard or anything, but Macs are definitely more efficient at handling things). I mainly got it for the battery life, and I have to say, it is really nice to be able to take it out in the morning for all of my classes without its charger and not worry about it dying.

I've since moved back to linux completely. Probably will never use windows (I hate the operating system). Mac is alright... but I probably didn't use Mac for the reasons most others would use Macs :p.

I use PCs at home yet my school is largely Mac and they drive me crazy!! >.< You keep having to click and drag stuff instead of just hitting like the delete key. And even when you delete something it doesn't clear up space on your comp/USB until you do this and that and then delete something else. And they still have to use Microsoft Office only stuff is everywhere and you have to do so many steps to just change your paragraph style or something.

[insert more of the obvious stuff here]

So yeah. PC ftw

I'll go with Hackintosh. If you prefer Mac then there's no point paying over it's value when you can just build one yourself.

Mmmm It would be embarrassing to show up with a mac at school <_<
If I was ever forced to get one, I'd dualboot with W7 and get a plastic cover for the stupid glowing apple on the back that says, "STFU IT RUNS WINDOWZ" because no offense or anything but people with macs just really know close to nothing about computers and I wouldn't want to be labeled as one of those clueless rich starbucks kids lol. The specs and battery life are tempting, but they'd be different upon installing W7 anyway. I also like to randomly download software for stupid shit so not being able to run it without help from an emulator would also piss me off. Also fuck you, stupid shiny glowing apple >_<.

ALSO, I can get a way more delicious laptop for the price of the fully decked out core i7 15" Macbook pro they sell for $2000 and thats WITH the student discount xP
Jesus Christ two thousand dollars lolol I'll carry around 2 batteries instead o___o;

Damn straight. This overgeneralization is so true it hurts. RMDCA means nothing to me. Neither does BIOS. "RAM" is a verb. I wouldn't know what to do with the command line if someone gave me the internet as a manual. I call my PC friends when I need to recover lost files. I don't know any keyboard shortcuts. Your logic is mindblowing.

*nix FTW.
