Many people think that getting a trophy in Maths Nightmare is difficult. Now I tell you, it is NOT. You don't need good mental calculation, you just have to practise. You need to practise how to skip the alarm.

Just take a look at the video made by somebody on Youtube.

Watch Video

In Round 11, when the pointer is at 12 o'clock, the alarm will go off. However, if you manage to finish a question while at the same time the pointer is at 12 o'clock, the alarm will be skipped (i.e. 3:35). You can play on.

You can finally get a score over 10000. After submitting the score, it will be reviewed by TNT. Just wait and you will get a trophy and avatar for this game :)

Can this be done on any level, or just 11? I've known games to have 2 or 3 bugged clocks, is it just because of this trick? Tried it quickly yesterday but wasn't able to do it.

I think it works for every level (the level when the alarm is set off).
I am not sure if it is a bug, but TNT seems to approve this as I have been using it for years.

Well, you can't get it every time. It needs perfect timeing (and so I usually get this by a bit luck). Usually I can skip the alarm 1 out of 5 trials. When making the video, I played the game for 4 times.

To make myself clear of what I say "don't need good mental calculation", I mean you don't need to calculate it very quickly (just like those who get 8760 in world challenge), so long as you get the clock alarm skipped, you make your way to the avatar. (Actually I messed up in level 4, as you may have noticed)

Therefore just do the calculation digit by digit. Do it from right to left.

say for example, 54 x 30, we know the last digit must be 0, so type in 0 first.
Then consider 4 x 3 = 12, we get "2" as the 2nd digit.
Again 5 x 3 = 15, we get 5, plus the previous "1" from 12, so it gives "6" as the 3rd digit
At last, just put the remaining "1" from 15 in front of the number.

(1) 54
x 30
------
???0

(2) 54
x 30
------
??20

(3) 54
x 30
------
?620

(4) 54
x 30
------
1620

Multiplication is the most difficult of all (to me). For addition and subtraction it's quite simple indeed.
For division, if you can't find the answer, just try you luck. Usually the answers will be odd numbers, especially 23, 27, 45, 57, 37 etc.

Thanks for this. I did it on division/potato counter because I can't be bothered with maths that requires thought but the alarm skipping bit was very useful. Managed to skip it twice and sue the cheat once so I managed to get the avatar =)

Use the AoB code for cheat engine in the game guide forums. :) That's what got me my avatar.

Whoa, I gotta try this! (With lots and lots of practice, though, since I don't normally play on Brain Tree mode...)

Definitely going to look into this method, I think I've tried it before on an old account but I got like 7800 rather than 10000; however, 7800 would prob get a trophy and the avatar anyway! Thanks for the video :)

Play Maths Nightmare with AOB cheat to get trophies is also safe.

As long as wait 10-15 mins before sending the scores.
