Yelm police responded to a disturbance Sunday night after Tabor’s girlfriend reported that Tabor, a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier, “was irate, intoxicated and walking around the neighborhood with his Kevlar helmet threatening to break windows.”

Tabor’s girlfriend told Yelm police that Tabor beats his 4-year-old daughter and that the child’s back was covered in bruises. The girlfriend reported that the 4-year-old had locked herself in a closet because she was afraid of her father.

The girlfriend also reported that when the child wets herself, Tabor “makes her sit in the urine-soaked clothes” until he gives her permission to change.

The girl spoke to a Yelm officer, and he observed that she “had severe bruising on her entire back,” along with scratch marks and bruising on her neck, throat, chin, arms, legs and buttocks.

She “was asked how she got the bruises and she replied ‘Daddy did it.’”

Asked how or why it happened, the child would not reply, then said, “I don’t know why he did it.”

Tabor spoke to a Yelm police officer and said that he and his girlfriend had “held her down on the counter and submerged her head into the water three or four times until the water came around her forehead and jawline.” He said that she was face-up when her head was in the water. He added that they gave this punishment for the 4-year-old “refusing to say her letters.”

One small point of order. Thats not waterboarding. The press over-hyped. Waterboarding would be where her face whent under wanter.

Anyways.

WTF Discuss.

But in all seriousness, I just feel that anyone who purposefully abuses a child isn't worth the space they're wasting.

I can't have children but always wanted to be a mother. These assholes (yes the mother is too for not stooping it) have a child and abuse the fuck out of while I went through 5 years of shots, mood swings, IVF treatments and 3 miscarriages.

This type news makes me want to personally beat the shit out of those fuckers and also cry out of the unfairness of it all.

And no I can't adopt because disabled women in the USA can't adopt unless I adopt a disabled child which I could not physically take care of. Now if I was famous and rich I could go to a foreign country but even then a lot of foreign countries won't adopt to the disabled.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down there, Mister Cheney. I know how much you love waterboarding, but isn't sitting in your own piss bad enough for a 4 year old? :p

This is why I support abortion. Better a child not be born than have to suffer being raised by people who are clearly unfit to own a pet goldfish.

PREACH. I've always pondered about how ass backwards it is when responsible, mature people with steady incomes often can't have children, and immature, broke-ass people on wellfare pop them out like rabbits. It's a worry of mine that when I get to a point in my life where I feel ready my darling and I could have children, we won't physically be able to.

I don't know. But I've gone to state and private adoption agencies. They said I wouldn't pass because of disability.

I have a friend who is disabled, married and well off. Child welfare was there at the birth of her child and was told to either hire a nanny (she didn't want to, she wanted to raise her own child) OR face weekly home inspections for the first year, monthly the second year and quarterly the third year. They were basically saying at the BIRTH she was a bad mother and were chomping at the bit to take the baby. She got a lawyer and went after them. After 10 months of litigation, they backed off BUT after her second child she buckled and got a nanny.

So in America you can be a crack ho and keep your baby but a stable disabled woman gets threatened..

Sorry, my heart palpitations got the best of me.

When I get told I'm about to see a news story about waterboarding and instead get a news story that does NOT involve waterboarding, I lose my rage quotient.

When I saw "waterboarding his child" I went to about 100% rage.

Then when I saw nothing that fit the definition of waterboarding I dropped to about 70% rage.

And I then reached 80% rage at sensationalist reporting.

This explains why I was so angry to not see waterboarding.

Sensationalist reporting is ruining the integrity of our news system.

My best friend is Chinese--born in China, raised in the US--and would agree with you. Her family is very well-off and her parents have lots of rich Asian friends. She told me that when she was growing up, parents would get together and brag about how many times they had to slap their children across the face or beat them with a stick. It was as if the more you beat your child, the better parent you were. It was sick.

Cultural differences, a lot of the world would probably agree with beating their kids.
