[Neopian]

TNT started a Facebook page and is trying to keep you up to date on current events. If you have a Facebook account you can become a fan.

They also want to celibrate the fact that they already have 1k fans (3.5k at the moment), so they are giving away a present:

Wow, I was skeptic about the page really being created by TNT. I thought it would break a whole bunch of privacy rules, etc. They were so tight about us not releasing our e-mails, personal info, etc through Neopets and now we can all see each other through Facebook xD Guess logic failed me this time

Actually... Your logic makes sense. Why are they making a facebook then? Sure for more publicity but if they are saying they have a facebook, they may as well not be so damned tight on the rules ont he actual site D=<

It's not like people are going to post their account names, or would they?

They may delete posts if you start associating yourself with your accounts if they're still being strict about the rules.

Oh, great! Thanks for the heads up! I have facebook and I'm really torn about joining. I mean, this is great. A way to know when something interesting happens when you feel like taking a break.

but every company nowadays seems to be having a facebook-page, just because of the tremendous publicity you can get
and also "if you're not on facebook, you're not 'uptodate'", so yeah it was a matter of time really
