Any movies out there of which you think I should have seen them before I die?

I always feel left out when people talk about the "OMG AWESOME MOVIE THEY SAW YESTERDAY" and everyone and their dog has seen it too ._.

Studio Ghibli as in "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Castle in the Sky"? Ohhh, "Spirited Away" was awesome.

Depends on your taste..Mainstream/Non-mainstream? Action? Adventure? Drama?

Here are just a couple that every movie lover should see

Shawshank Redemption(one of the greatest stories told) - Wrongly convicted man sent to prison in 1940's America

Oldboy - A man is trapped for 15 years and finally released. He tries to figure out why he was imprisoned.

Cidade de Deus(City of God) - A story about living in the slums of Rio, Brazil. Based on a true story of a photographer that grew from there and his struggles

Godfather, GoodFellas, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises - Mafia type of movies that have a really good story.

Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Requiem for a Dream, The Shining, and Dr. Strangelove...just to name a few.

To me, Scarface was a crappy movie..not that great. Sure everyone points out to it as a great movie but eh..Pacino did better in the Godfather 2 and Glengarry Glen Ross...
The only good scene from that movie was the bathroom scene =D

I dunno. I actually liked it... and thought GF2 was lame.

I guess it depends on if you want to see a man building power for family and money....

Or if you want to see a man gain power too quickly, go mad with it.........spoiler......

Spoiler

Nah, but he'd have died anyway. If an organized crime syndicate is gunning for you and you have a massive pile of herb, you'd be asleep and they'd take you down with ease.

In my opinion the following three are truly "must see" and cannot recommend them enough:
Donnie Darko
I Heart Huckabees
Southland Tales
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

To date I've seen each no less than five times with each time gathering something more. Really deep though, not for everyone.
Crash & Rules of Attraction are also a couple good ones also.
Hear Babel is up there as well but personally haven't seen it yet.

Princess Mononoke (can't stress how good this movie is)
Pulp Fiction
Lucas

Every Studio Ghibli film ever.

Some of their movies are pretty boring. You get so caught up with their reputation. I mean "Howl's Moving Castle" for example, definitely not their best work.

Come to think of it, instead of seeing a movie, watch the entire "Arrested Development" series. The laughs per minute ratio is ridiculously high.
