The graphics in that game were so crazy. My 8600gt played on max settings/dx10. fricken insane

Basically all I'm playing at this point is EU3. Really interesting game.

In one of my games, I was Denmark trying to take on Sweden with the help of Norway, and then England decides to declare war on me and lands about 10000 troops on a town bordering my undefended capital. So I immediately go on the defensive, try to end the war with Sweden, but naturally they won't.

So at this point I had to pull back all my troops fighting the Swedes and lost a few territories on the same chunk of land as Sweden. Luckily my superior navy was holding the Swedes at bay (and for some reason England didn't send its massive navy to fight mine).

I manage to kill the English armies within a decade (with massive losses), and a few years later I miraculously gain control of the Papacy.
So I excommunicate England, and then Castille (Spain), decides to invade them.

Basically England had to end the war with me after losing the bulk of their army and had an undefended island filled up with hostile Spanish troops. Spain ends up wrecking them, England loses all it's territories in the British Isles to Spain, and have to let Scotland/Ireland become their own countries. They end up with a couple territories in war-torn Central France.

Fast forward a couple decades and France is getting partitioned between Burgundy and Provence (who broke free from France while they were getting wrecked and turned on the)

A couple decades later, the process of colonization starts.

Britain can't colonize North America due to it being like one country surrounded by Frenchies
France doesn't exist, it got split between Burgundy and Provence.
Burgundy doesn't have enough coastal cities to colonize North America properly so they don't bother, and Provence is to busy killing non-Catholics ("Defender" of the Faith)
Ireland gets a couple colonies but doesn't have the resource to do anything
And I've finally united Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland but have a united Russia to deal with (with a massive fucking army managing to dominate the Golden Horde while stacking tens of thousands of troops near our border (so basically a cold war during the 17th century))

Spain on the other hand, had about 70% of South America (30% to Portgual), 80% of Africa (20% of the place was angry Muslims). 90% of North America (10% to the Irish) and 1/5th of Europe.

A century later and it's backwards (Mercantilist policies, decentralized state, serfdom, basically a century behind) catholic Spain with (a poor) North Eastern America + (war-torn but recently united) Latin America + (shitty outter) Africa + ravaged Western Europe vs a highly industrialised, secularized, Protestant Scandinavian nation with Norther Europe (about 1/4th the size of Spain) vs a modern, united Russia with roughly a bajillion troops.

Russia decides to put her troops to use, invades Spain, they battle it out for a couple years, then I invade the part of Russia that borders weat of Finland, hoping that I can conquer a few territories so I'd have a smaller border to defend.

Basically it's WW1 in the 1780s. Fricken insane game.
