I'm new to the battledome (never did anything really outside of punchbag bob throughout the whole 7-8 years I'd been on Neopets), and starting out in the bd now, I was trying to have 0 losses and all wins in 1p, (doomed from the start, especially since I was a noob).

So I lost a few times doing Defenders of Neopia 1 and 2, and I spent the rest of the day looking up people's pets, from well known BD chatters to well-known all around pets like Antorcha and Majal_Kita.

Some people had 101 losses, some had 1008, Antorcha had around 100, Majal_Kita had 11 (?!).

Do people really care? Can I stop worrying about losing or is there some win "rank" thing that people focus on?

Thanks for any answers ^_^

Well it just depends on how much you care personally. There's another famous BDer who's name I won't mention but he has over 5000 1P wins at a 50% win rate(lol). Everyone wants to suck his d because he can beat challengers with 10 times his hp but frankly I think winning 2500 out of 5000 is pathetic.

I wouldn't think so, but then again i'm not really into the battledome so idk. But I don't see why it would matter unless you had a higher loss count

Not really, I care a little more about who I lost to than how many times I lost. You can always make up for the loss later (my pet kept losing to Meerca Henchman until I got REALLY lucky and finally got a win in). Later on in your bd career, those few losses look like starting out trouble once your wins against the same opponent stretches into the hundreds. If the losses against an opponent reaches about 20, I begin thinking the person is too impatient to train and improve their odds first.

Oooh, who?

Unless it's someone on the Neocodex forums, I'd think you could tell me ^_^

I don't think so but then again I mostly only played against people in my ex-guild from a few years ago before my account was iced and all my hard work gone.
Now I just concentrate on customising my pets lol

I dont care at all. I play it for fun. Besides its a nice trick. They think you stick but then you fight them and totally kick their ace.

I'm personally, on my new account going to attempt a 100% win rate. I'm not going to fight in the bd until I get my new baby kau up to at least level 50 to ensure victory over the lil noob enemies xD. I won't challenge people until like 100 or so :p

Its not worth worrying about the win and loose ratio. After all its just for fun.

I'd have to say yes. I saw someone with a 0 losses and quite high number of wins which I forgotten but for me, as much as I want 0, I'll gladly take 2 for the Battledome Avatars

no, it really doesn't matter I think. as a BDer myself, I don't see how that really matters, i mean most losses are when your trying to get 1p wins on a super strong opponent, they really don't mean anything.

So would you be impressed with 564 losses, but 183759 wins?

Do you mean you like a higher ratio, or you like when someone has like, 5 losses.

A positive win/loss ratio is definitely impressive, but personally I dont mind what the person's W/L record.
However if you are looking to get some "fans" a very high W/L ration should be a priority....right next to training your pet.

Even if it was 2,990 losses and 2,991 wins, I'd be impressed. I'm just into higher numbers for some reason. Idunno what the logic behind that is, i just am. xD Should I feel bad?

100 wins, 0 loss = loser(also weak pet lol)
100000 wins, 20000 loss = loser
100000 wins, 100 loss = winner

all the BDers and those in BD guilds generally have really high winning % from maxing out 1P challengers, unless they lose a lot. A large portion of the wins usually comes from 1P anyway, it isn't that easy to find thousands of 2P fights especially when you have to look inside your own league. You should be checking to see if they are maxing out challengers like the Henchmen/Kastraliss/Snowager for example....or just beating Inflatable Balthazar thousands of times :p

Being an old time BDer, I can say that most BDer care about the stats (I know one who made a new account because he got one loss due to a glitch). Most people don't really care though so don't be afraid of testing and trying your luck but if you are guaranteed to lose a 1-player fight, I would reset using the status page.

imo as long as youre batting/bding a A-/B+ average I think it would be acceptable unless you don't really care about being a competitive bder
