personally I really don't know much so I can't say much about him but guys may just not like him due to homophobic reasons (ie: male singer with a tenor/soprano-ish voice)

You know, today I decided to go watch his original Youtube videos and, to my surprise, he's actually a very talented singer. I never got the impression that he could sing very well from his radio songs or live performance on SNL. I almost wish he hadn't been discovered for another 10 years, so that life experiences would give him better, more mature songs (that he might write himself!). Unfortunately it seems like he's been taken over by the pop machine and may fade away when he gets too old for 13 year old girls to obsess over him.

I tried to remember what it's like to be a 13 year old girl, but then realized that at that age my favorite bands were Smashing Pumpkins and Everclear.

but yeah i saw some of the videos too. i was surprised as well. he really isn't too bad.

but thats kind of the music business; they always commercialize them .. its all for the money sadly

Watched the youtube video's today, since I never have heard a song of him before. It's not bad... just the voice is still like a 10yr old, maybe he'll be great once he gets through puberty.

i agree with several statements here.

his musici s just pop and he'll disapear in a year or two and will most likely get involved in some type of shenanigans that will be escalated by the media and will then end his career in shame.

he's 16 years old. who knows. maybe his voice won't go thru such a drastic change, at least not for a while. it happens...

well, i actually would think if his voice is going to change it should in a year or two, since i think once you hit 20 your voice stays how it is.

Actually I've listened to one of his songs on the radio on the way to work today . . . I was like wtf is this shit the song literally sounded like someone was moaning. Then the radio host says that it's Justin Bieber I'm like are you for cereals? ? ? Needless to say I was shocked and disgusted at Justin Bieber's singing.
