I have one of the 3g iPod touches, 64 gigs. ^_^ It's tiny.

i hate you. lets trade ipods please. :(

my touch is like retarded. the middle button to go home or whatever is broken. so i can't really do much on it. like i cant go to any applications or anything unless i turn off the ipod and then back on which is a huge pain. so i just leave it on music and use it to listen to music. thats about all i can do with it :/

hehe same...i epically failed a couple of years ago. i bought the 3rd generation Nano when it came out as a self Christmas present and thought "oh ya i'm gonna make everyone jealous". 2 months later the iPod touch came out, all my friends bought it. and i face palmed. now 4 weeks ago i got the 3g iPod touch and all my friends have fat ones :D

ipod touch definitely. ipad is a pretty useless oversized ipod touch with limited capabilities, you're better off buying a netbook/laptop

I prefer the Iphone, so i can have internet everywhere. With my Ipod Touch I could only be online if I could find a open wireless network somewhere O.O*

well if i absolutely had to choose between the three i'd take the iphone, internet is nicer anywhere. However the actual technology used by the ipad just seems like a large ipod and that's the reason i'm asking for any differences...yet to find one...

My friend has both (no idea why) and he's already regretting the ipad, there's really not much more you can do with it and the size will end up being a pain unless you always travel with like a backpack or something

I personally own a ipod touch and have supported users with the iPhone and iPad. Personally if they had a itouch with 3G/4G without phone service it would be great...like a mini ipad actually >_>; since you can just use a text for free app to get unlimited texts and you can use a skype app to make voice calls. You can do that with an ipad but...lols at the idea of putting that to your ears and talking to someone. The iphone itself is only limited by the carrier, I personally think they'd do better with Verizon.

I have both and In my opinion I believe the itouch is better since it is more convenient to use and you could perform basic web browsing which Is all I really need.

I can see the point of an iPad, but I don't think it's where it needs to be yet.

I have an iPod touch. An e-reader. A laptop. I generally bring all three with me to school, so I could see the iPad having its functions. But seriously, my iPod I would bring anyway because it is small enough and holds more. My ereader is also small and light, and it has a better screen for reading. And my laptop can do more than the iPad, like flash games. =/

They should have named it iTouch... like iTouch my self... *giggle hehe* ^^

But to answer the OP. I've tested one in a local computer shop and there's no noticable difference...

Well the only downside of an itouch is that you cant get GPS navigation compared to an iphone and you can't call or take pictures
