so basically i've checked lots of info on the ipad and still i don't get something : what's the difference between an ipad and an ipod touch? i mean seriously does it have any extra features? to me it's simply a larger, faster ipod touch, i don't see what all the fuss is about

Ipad bigger and dumber seriously have you tried using one of those for a decent amount of time its not exactly comfortable to use. The ipod touch has most of those function on a smaller more sensible scale

thats exactly what i think! i mean do i really need the size that comes with the ipad for the increase in processing power? i mean if i wanted to do any heavy duty stuff i'll use my laptop thank you very much...

I have an iPad 64g wifi. Since I have a Droid phone and a zune I didn't worry about redunancy.

The size does come in handy to read manga/comics. I couldn't stand to read on an iPhone. The screen is too small IMO.

BUT if you get an iPad jailbreak it because its useless otherwise. I jailbroke mine and hit the warez sites for comics/mangas/graphic novels plus apps I don't want to buy.

I have both an Iphone, and Ipod touch (won it after I got the phone) and from what I can tell they do everything the ipad does just smaller and easier to carry around with you

so reading all this im coming to the conclusion that i was right, and the only real difference is a larger size which, nowadays, isn't always a desirable quality in electronics... so unless i'm into comics/manga or other reading material i should stick with my ipod touch?

I have an iPad and have a case I keep on it AND lay it on my lap. I connect to the net just fine...

I own an iPod touch and I have a friend who owns an iPad that I have used.

I have an iPod touch 1g and its like... fat.


So if you want to get an iPad make sure you get it on the first day it comes out to look cool because otherwise in a few months they will come out with a thinner and prettier model and everyone will get that one because they waited until the iPad got better but you were stupid and bought it on the first day to look cool. Then all of the people with the iPad 2g will point fingers and laugh at your outdated fat iPad 1g.

And the cycle goes on

I feel you on this one. I have the first generation ipod touch too Its like 16gbs though.

& everytime one of my friends picks it up they are like "OMG WHY IS THIS SO HEAVY?!" then i feel their little skinny light one with speakers and i envy it. but i'm too cheap to buy a new one and worry about moving all the music and stuff
