What is Save the Wheels?

The fabled Wheels of Neopia are in serious disrepair. Help the Neopian Conservation Society preserve them by donating your Neopoints. Each week in July, a different Wheel will be restored to its full glory, with new prizes added, if Neopian philanthropists come through. Plus, all month long, players will have a chance to win super bonus prizes on the Wheels. Hooray!

How many times can I donate NP each day?

As many times as you want. Donate hundreds of times a day, if you’d like. The more you donate, the better the chances that the Neopian Conservation Society can do its job of saving the Wheels. And don’t forget, each donation might earn you an amazing prize.

Other users have been winning a bunch of different prizes for donating NP. Why haven't I won a prize yet?

Well, you might need to donate just a little bit more... or a little bit less.

What is a Top Benefactor?

If you donate more of your hard-earned Neopoints toward each Wheel than anyone else, you might be listed as a Top Benefactor. That's a rare honour, considering how much you'll have to donate to get on the list.

So it's a way for people to piss away neopoints and for them to give the wheels a new look? If that's so, they should at least do a good job with the new wheels; the new Wheel of Knowledge is so choppy.

Check the JellyNeo front page for all the listings. Seems like the prizes are tiered depending on what you donate.

Seems like you need to donate that amount all at once to get the prize of the level so 1 mil + 1 mil only gets you 2 shields instead of 1 background.

I like it, it's an ingenious NP sink... The "prizes" aren't too bad either but I'm not up to donating 2.5m+ for a background or 1m+ for a shitty shield I wonder if the prizes will change throughout each wheel "saving". I would love to be on that Top Benefactor list tho. Some super rich person with NP to burn will make it up there and then quit or something lol. It's already up to 1.2bil.

I wonder just how much NP will come out of the economy this way. Probably 15 bil or so depending on whether the prizes change etc etc.
