I enjoy cooking, but I'm already taken, so anyone who cooks is just adding to the "enjoyable to talk to" gumbo.

Well, good that they wont expect either of those from me then :p They can have my burned macaroni though  Think Sweden is a bit "special" in that department, I notice that alot of guys are better cooks than girls. Wich is weird even for me :p

Honestly, I would say world wide men are better chefs than women.

Think about all the famous ones, men out number women like 10/1

I don't think that necessarily means there are more men that cook that women.
And the only ones I know are actually all women. xD

Rachel Ray, Paula Dean, Giada Deloreitis (sp?), Barefoot contessa.
And for guys I can only think of Anthony Bordain, and Andrew Zimmerman.

Both of those sound so good. I can't help but post this:

Hahahah that's real good.

I can boil eggs, make brown rice in a pot (no rice cooker - in a pot you get rid of a lot of extra starch and junk), i can make any kind of fish, I can make okra dishes, shrimp are super easy to fry just add some pepper and whatever seasoning you want its reallll good. shrimp makes you horny though.

No, i didnt day that there were more male chefs than women, i said they were better, and the famous ones outnumber the women, because there better, not because theres more of them.

My husband cooks very well.
but I'm learning to like cooking, instead of doing a duty.
So sometimes compete to see who makes dinner taste better.

Yeah! The fun in cooking is trying to make it the best you can. I've found that it's better not to feel guilty about getting take out if you don't want to cook.. because when you actually DO cook, it'll be that much more fun and tasty :p

As far as skills, watching the food network can help you a lot with that. When it comes to cooking, for the most part, if it LOOKS easy, it probably is.

Unfortunatly there is no such thing as the food network here, and im on a shitty diet that makes it very challenging to make anything really :p But ive cooked this whole week, so im proud.. guess im done for the rest of my life now :D Takes like 30min to prepare and 10 to eat... :(
