I currently work at the hospital.
Lots of fun although some days it can be challenging...not the patients per se, but the ones working with you.
Sometimes it makes me wonder how they got their diplomas.

oooh i wanted to go to school to become a nurse but my mom (who is a RN) talked me out of it beacuse i probably would not be able to handle the death rate (i wanted to work in the baby ward) . so i have been a carpenter for 4 years now and im still very much enjoying it.

are you a RN?

It's quite simple. The smaller ones can carry one brick, we can tie two together for the older kids, and call out, "Sink or swim".

And then the parents laugh, I laugh, the kids get their nervous chuckle, and my boss gives me one of those "what the fuck are you doing?" looks.

The reality:
Spoiler

OMG, you hospital assholes!! :p My pharmacy has to call on half the prescriptions that come from the hospital, and it takes forever to get connected with the prescribing doctor or a nurse that can help. Usually it's for the stupidest shit ever- like they forgot to put how many pills to dispense or they write it for a stength that doesn't exist. Seriously, doctor? Meanwhile, back at the pharmacy, the patient is screaming at us like it's our fault. Giving me grey hairs and shit.

Sometimes I fantasize about sending dogshit in the mail addressed to repeat offending prescribers for Christmas, but I doubt it will solve anything.

I love it when annoying customers come by, because its a serious boring work. I REALLY enjoy it when people make a fuss, we mostly put it on speakerphone (how unprofessional eh :p)
I'm not even allowed to hang up before the customer, so I love it when they stretch the call a bit, then I can relax for a couple of minutes.

really? hahah. they always seem to hang up on me first. assholes :(

My job involves teaching jujitsu in the kids classes at a local gym and part time work at radioshack. My only other job was as a lifeguard. There are a lot of people with interesting jobs on this thread O_o.

I work in a retail pharmacy. I have to deal with crotchety old people, raving lunatics, and screaming children on a daily basis and give them service with a smile.

haha, this seems like the most ill-fitting job for you.

My main job is pretty lame. I stock shelves third shift at walmart <_< Actually, it's not all that bad.

However, I do work part time at festivals drawing henna tattoos on people. I make 20$ an hour to sit on pillows and doddle on drunks ha. It's perfect.

I work a 9 to 5 customer service inbound on a software. Pretty chill job because there's hardly any calls so I just read poker/coding books. Finished at the end of this month although I'm just gonna go on unemployment for 55% of my salary and it'll free up 37.5 hours of my week. Fuck yeah socialism.

I work at MJM, a discount shoe store similar to DSW.
I'm a cashier, associate, and I do a lot of the merchandising. I'm pretty much a supervisor/front end manager, but they don't pay me enough to give me an official title.
