Alcohol: Risk of killing yourself and others.

Cigarettes: Risk of killing yourself.

Marijuana: Risk of killing your brain.

I'd say alcohol.

Water- Risk of killing yourself, others, the entire human population, the entire land animal population, the entire bird population, the entire land plant population.
Lack of water- Risk of killing all of the above, plus the entire fish population, the entire water plant population.
Alcohol- mostly water, some ethanol (another liquid)
Marijuana and Cigarettes- Heat, evaporates water= lack of water.
No contest, marijuana and cigarettes are MUCH more dangerous.

i'd have to go for cigarettes. Researches state that once you started smoking, you have already reduced your life span for 10 years. The other two, weed and alcohol are actually beneficial when not abused. Weed is actually used for medicinal purposes. Alcohol was once known as a disinfectant. Cigarettes are in now way beneficial to the human body.

No one has ever died from a marijuana overdose, whereas people have died from alcohol poisoning. I would definitely contest that alcohol is more dangerous than weed.

Agreeing with some of you, Alcohol is definetly more "dangerous" especially when talking overdosis. and ofc the fact that it causes damage to the liver, shereas Marijuana doesn't have as many "harmful" effects.

it's not the substances that are dangerous so much as it is the people who are using them

I'm going to take this discussion in a different discussion.

I'm with a room mate who does all three in OUR ROOM.

Alcohol: Vomits on the floor. I saw chunks that resembled a giraffe.
Cigarettes: Obnoxious, but a fan blowing outward will dissipate it quickly
Marijuana: RA called police. It stunk for three days.

I'd say marijuana because it's a huge pain to make excuses for when an
RA comes knocking on your door

hrmm, well personally, if they all were taken in the same amount. I'd say weed would be the most harmful, you're most likely to injure yourself in some way if you're so high that you can't tell the difference between illusion and reality.

I think, in a sense that they're just as bad as each other. Because, if you had weed legalised then a lot more people would be dying from it since they can easily get hold of it like cigarettes and alcohol.

Obviously though, some cause more harm then others..but I think it's alcohol over all. Since a lot of people get hold of it and drunk every night, while (UK) it's illegal to smoke in public places and it's stopped a lot of people from smoking since they can't be bothered to smoke in the special designated places. Alcohol is still massively advertised over here though so loads of people drink instead of the others..

Your RA called the police? That seems way overboard. What school do you go to?

There are worse things in life than a little weed, tobacco, or alcohol. Things like Trolls. Or Bill Cosby. Or a Trolling Bill Cosby. Gimme the cigs and green and booze but keep your trolling Bill Cosbys!

Cigarettes can kill others too. It's called second hand smoke.

I'd say cigs are worse, followed by alcohol. I don't really hear or read all much about marijuana that's bad, to be honest. Use of cigs and alcohol can cause harm to oneself and others. I really, really hate cigs, though, due in no small part to having to walk through cig smoke every time I go to class. ~_~ Here's hoping the secondhand smoke doesn't kill me.

Worse in what way? Cigarettes, having the most addictive properties and undoubtedly the worst effect on the body following long term use, are the worst in that they are the most unhealthy, and bring about an addiction (you could even call it a dependency) that many people have immense trouble breaking.

In saying that, alcohol has the most questionable social consequences if it is consumed in excessive amounts. A single person who might develop an explosively violent temperament, completely lose control of themselves, or perhaps even elect to drive, while inebriated will generally cause a lot more trouble for a lot more people than any one smoker, who may or may not be knocking off a pack a day.

I am not saying that I condone smoking - I think it's a foul habit and it should, at the very least, be banned in all public places, so that at least the unwilling general public don't have to breathe in that noxious filth - but I believe alcohol generally has a wider range and reach where it comes to negative consequences.

As for marajuana, well..

.. but we all know that for the most part, stoners are harmless - and while weed DOES have detrimental effects on one's health (it makes me laugh when people say it doesn't), be they psychological or physical, said effects are typically not as bad as those caused by alcohol and cigarettes.

Cigarettes- Second hand smoke, and if you get it, you can't sue, unlike with drunk driving, if someone hits u, you can sue.

Cigarettes are the worst.

Hemp was only made illegal because it was used to make paper and it drove the big fat paper business cats out of business.
